Good test. I got all of them, but had to think a second between Georgia/Armenia and between Kyrgyzstan/Tajikistan.

If you feel intimidated by all the comments telling you "50/50 at 2x speed, with fast rotating, flickering and shaking screen, having epilepsy, while listening to distracting loud speed core music oscillating between right and left ear": I am from Germany. Finished high school (Gymnasium) with 1.9. Have a bachelor and master degree in computer science. I managed to identify around 20/50 countries. All the economically and politically relevant countries I identified (like Russia, Turkey, China, India, Japan, Saudi-Arabia, Israel, Syria, Iran, Taiwan, Vietnam, Pakistan, Palestine). Plus other countries for other reasons (like Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Bhutan, Indonesia). The rest was only familiar in name and/or known to me by approximate location. Sorry (sarcasm), my (more than mainstream) interests are in computer science, math, physics, philosophy, biology, geology, music and that only up to a certain level for each topic and sub-topic. Geography, history and linguistic isn't of much interest for me. Therefore, I only get the most relevant and mainstream part of it. That is all fine with me. I do not feel even the slightest bit of shame and if you experience the same, you shouldn't too.

How many did you got wrong?

All minus four. The Stans are hard. If you do Africa, I presume that the southern Sahara region will be equally hard. Nice test, nice pacing, and you had the guts to put Taiwan in there.
