Go to him first in a playthrough, then you'll see him for more than 5 seconds. He has an entire second phase most don't know about

Pinwheel almost feels like they accidentally set his health to 1/5th what it shoulda been. As Elise mentioned the boss actually has some interesting mechanics if he lasts for more than 5 seconds, lol. I used to kill him first to get CSSR and tomb loot. Plus an early mask.

its because the catacombs arent supposed to be done after depths thats why they give you the divine ember so early, you should be going there with +5 or +0 divine lol

@@Triple_MMM it's "supposed" to be an early game boss, I get that, but like the entire area before it is way harder lol. I feel like that's the whole point of the graveyard, you go there low level, get your ass kicked, then leave and go to the actual starting area. Even if you did somehow make your way through the catacombs at the start, remember, you have to walk ALL the way back out.. Unless you wanna do tomb of giants at that level, but again, even if you are somehow able to make through tomb of giants, you now have an even longer trip to go back out. And if you're able to do all that, then the entire first half of the game will be a total joke

Most dark souls 1 and 2 boss themes sound very alike without anything distinct to separate them. If it's a slow tune like Sif or Butterfly then yeah it sticks out, but the loud bombastic pieces are just loud and bombastic and kind of uninspired.

I got 4 kings wrong because I only heard endless amount of magic explosions in my mind.

Honestly, i feel most boss themes feel both identical to one another and also completely unique and I don't know how thats possible

There are some themes that are too iconic to ever get wrong, Artorias’ theme, Sif’s, Gwyns, ornstein and smough, and the butterfly’s theme. But then there’s the demon/chaos themes which all sound identical to each other with only slight variations.

​@@justfun5479It's the music of the credits of the game but many people of the souls community believe the nameless song is the theme of your character (spoilers ahead) all bosses have unique music especially the lords and in both ends of the game you basically become a lord but your character real name is unkown (you can give a name to your character but in the game, your character don't speak and nobody knows his true name, so he is named as "The chosen undead" and by the fact the bosses musics are like, gwyn song, nito song, and your character don't have a name and by all this i've explained, nameless song is the theme of your character (or the chosen undead theme)

the fact that i knew all of them within the first 2 seconds of the timer says how much i'm obsessed with this game

I don't know all of them - mainly the bosses I took out in one attempt (or the ones I've missed.) I've got to listen to the OST more. I love how recognisable some of them are though. Sif, Artorias, O&S, Gwyn, Taurus and bell gargoyles each only took a couple notes,

I only missed Priscilla and I was so disappointed with myself. Then again, I never could find it in myself to kill her (except once, for completion) Otherwise same, knew basically every song within 2 - 5 seconds.

Missed Sanctuary Guardian. Confidently guessed Manus in 2 seconds and I’m not ashamed to admit it

Got em all, the hardest for me was actually Priscilla since I kept thinking "Fair lady?" But remembered the "this world is peaceful, its inhabitants kind" meme

I think if you have a hard time figuring out which music is which boss's theme you most likely defeated that boss very easily. (at least from my case)

I will never forget kalameet, it took me like 2 weeks to beat him

If you get any of these wrong, it's because there's not enough time to guess based on most of their very similar openings. Pinwheel, Centipede Demon, Moonlight Butterfly, and Gwyn are easy from a glance because they're unique, but many others start off as generic opera tracks.

This feels like a memorable boss test. Here are the ones that stand out for me: Pinwheel, Gwyndolin, Sif, Taurus Demon, Priscilla, Gwyn, Ornstein & Smough, Artorias, Nameless Song. Bell Gargoyle theme is also special but I forgot which boss it was.

Every time I found a boss really challenging, I started to hum along with the boss music to get into the rhythm of the fight so I managed to get most pretty quickly.

These songs are all so engraved into my soul that the only two I got wrong were mixing up Seath and Bed of Chaos, and the other two I didn't INSTANTLY remember I figured out accurately by process of elimination and tone reading (Sanctuary Guardian, Kalameet)

Actually distinct, fitting and recognisable music for every boss. Imagine that. Sure is nicer than senseless constant choir with epic orchestra going AAAAA. How we've fallen

you know the game is well done when u can recognize what the theme is for by the tone alone,was able to easily guess artorias and the duo simply by the music i only played the game once and forgot about the music

Listening to the soundtrack really helped me get all of those

I swear the 4 kings ost played when I turned the lights off

When 15 seconds of pinwheels music is more than you hear in game

I haven't played in a couple of years, but I only got one wrong. This video made me appreciate the themes within the instruments and rhythms of the soundtrack; it's easy to discern which bosses are related to each other because of those themes, like the demons - the only reason I got Ceaseless Discharge right was because I knew it was a demon based on the vocals and instruments.

Sometimes I can't hear clear the theme at the same time we're fighting, but some of these I guessed right because they make me think to an specific boss, for example the Iron Golem, I had no idea about how is it's theme but it's theme make me to think about it, same with Quelaag

Never thought knowing the OST’s to an abnormal amount would mean anything

Since I've played DS1 the least, only around 200-300 hours total, I'm amazed that I got them all. I damn near failed at Four Kings because it's the mid section of that theme that's memorable and you took the start which sounds a lot alike with many other themes, but after that it was a breeze.

For someone who didn't spend 100 hours in this game, getting multiple right kinda surprises me. Got ornstein and smough, and even got some of the multiple boss ones by guessing every single boss. I am super impressed with myself. Some parts of this game are more memorable than others though.

Anyone who played Dark Souls isn't getting Bed of Chaos wrong, and they can tell by the sudden sick feeling they get from hearing it.

Man for me the actual difference between the game and the dlc is like a huge difference for the opera music and ds3 style .. hits almost like not the same game even with the bosses like manus with big amount of mouvement set and artorius etc... Ty for the vid tho❤

I’m playing for the first time, and haven’t really been paying attention to the music. Imagine my surprise when I managed to get all but 3 right. I went through the entire first 17, but then I completely forgot that the gargoyles were even a boss

I missed quelaag and gaping dragon, I have never been more disappointed 😔

I missed way too many of these, some of these I really should have known, even though I'm not a hard core darksouls fan

I only missed 4 kings, but I do listen to the dark souls soundtrack A LOT.

Didn't get four kings, sanctuary guardian and Nito purely because the blood curdling scream whenever he does his incantation was absent

13 out of 17 (because I never played the dlc) really bad considering I was stuck with almost all of them for an eternity and had to listen to their music

Got like 3-4 wrong. Such a beautiful game.

Artorias has to have the most fitting theme of any fight, given that I could guess based on the vibe of the song alone

I got confused between manus and nito, didn't recognise discharge or sanctuary guardian since they're forgettable and I usually only fight them once per playthrough lol

Please do more of these

I find it weird how I could easily tell which boss it was while only hearing the theme for 2secs in term of bosses like Gaping Dragon or Artorias while the lesser interesting bosses like Centipede Demon or Capra Demon almost were identical to me that I could barely any difference between them and didn’t know what it was til the time was up
