Guatemala, a captivating country located in Central America, boasts a rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes. Nestled between Mexico to the north and west, Belize to the northeast, Honduras to the east, and El Salvador to the southeast, Guatemala is a land of contrasts. Its diverse terrain encompasses rugged mountains, lush rainforests, and picturesque coastlines along the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
Ancient Mayan ruins, such as Tikal, rise majestically from the dense jungle, revealing the country's fascinating historical legacy. Visitors can immerse themselves in the remnants of this remarkable civilization, witnessing awe-inspiring pyramids and temples that once thrived here.
In modern times, Guatemala is a vibrant blend of indigenous Mayan traditions and Spanish colonial influences. Colorful markets filled with intricate handicrafts, textiles, and traditional foods showcase the country's rich cultural heritage.
Outdoor enthusiasts will find paradise in Guatemala's natural wonders, from hiking the active Pacaya Volcano to exploring the serene beauty of Lake Atitlán, surrounded by towering volcanoes and indigenous villages.
However, the nation also faces challenges like poverty and social inequality. Nevertheless, the warmth and resilience of the Guatemalan people shine through their infectious hospitality and deep-rooted pride in their heritage.
For travelers seeking a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty, Guatemala offers an unforgettable journey through time and landscapes, leaving an indelible impression on all who visit.

Hi guys thank for visiting Guatemala I know el mirador blessings from North Carolina
When you were at the dam site where so many Mayans had been killed I thought about the many places in the world where man had destroyed people's homes and lives for progress. Out of tragedy comes beauty could be the title of a book on the history of man. I recently had our auto glass guy at our house replacing my daughter's windshield and we were talking about your channel and I told him that you were headed to Guatemala soon and he should watch to see if he could see his home area. He told me he would spread the word to all of his Guatemalan friends and they would watch. Another great video, the area and you stories never disappoint.

Toyota land indeed.. I see caravans of these Toyota's trucks being purchased here in California and see one toyota flat towing another Toyota on interstate 10 heading east to Texas. Where they get loaded into a ship and sent to Guatemala and Peru. They double or triple their profits selling them in South America. Great video..

Thanks for sharing another great video. They are better than anything I see on TV. Love the drone shots and narrative. I keep wondering if you ever got your factory front and rear lockers working? If I remember correctly you had the rear working but not the front. Can you give us an update on this? Also I love to hear details you wish you could change in the future or could have done differently. Glad y’all are staying healthy and safe. Prayers for you both. Awesome video once again. Y’all Rock.

Thank you for watching! About the lockers: The 80 series uses a factory separate ECU for the lockers which we do not have. The actuators for the lockers work, and I have a power probe that I can connect manually to engage them. So they work, they're just not wired correctly. We'd love to have this refined, it just hasn't been a priority yet. We can go into more detail about the build in a separate video, I'm sure many people have the same questions! Cheers!
We really enjoyed the video and now go drink a "Gallo Beer" for us and also good on you for feeding the Perro's on the way. Safe travels for you 2.

I got excited when you guys pulled out the stove.... But no cooking😢. I love this channel and what you have done with the rig. I would love to see a segment on cooking local food. Not many understand what it takes to live like this, where the roof over your bed might be a Pancho tied to the catwalk of a truck carrying a thirty foot boat. It takes a lot of work to cook outside.
@ToyotaWorldRunners

We will definitely do more cooking segments when we can cook outside!
The Toyotas and the school buses migrated from USA down to Guatemala. Not to the junkyard! The Toyotas are restored down there while the school buses become chicken buses. Those school buses receive a 10 or 13 speed manual transmisión and an engine tune. You would not want your kids riding a school bus like that in USA. Also, the highlands will be crowded with Mercedes Benz trucks fans while the oriental side will be crowded with Hino trucks fans. East vs. west. On a different note, places like Cuchumatatanes, Lake Atitlan, and Nebaj are places you would love to visit while you are in the highlands. And great job btw!
