Jeremyjahns is a shit reviewer for saying that batista sucks. Im not a big fan of batista, but its dumb how jeremyjahns automatically thinks that batista is a bad actor just because he doesnt know who is he, its obvious jeremyjahns dont know anything about wwe at all. You can name him the most popular wrestlers in wwe history, he'll be like "who's that"?

***** I know I know it's my way of clamoring for seconds when it comes to Marvel giving us something new different and original which is something we never heard of before and never seen before and with Guardians Of The Galaxy is something so new unique fresh and different that we've never seen or heard of before which is a nice fresh of breathe air and it's the same thing with Ant Man that's also different fresh and unheard of and that's why I'm clamoring for seconds to give me something else different fresh and original without something I'm familiar with already that's a sequel and already being known and popular

I personally thought this movie was AWESOMETACULAR! Absolutely loved the tone of the movie, the emotional parts hit all the right notes and the heart could be felt throughout the movie, and oh my god the soundtrack was incredible (Blue Swede will be on my iPod on repeat). I haven't felt the spirit of adventure in a movie like this since the first time I watched Indiana Jones and Star Wars. P.S. I thought Bautista did a fantastic job as Drax. As Chris Stuckman said, he's probably the bests wrestler turned actor since The Rock

This movie is right up there with The Avengers by Marvel Studios. Yes, it's that good. As for the post credit scene. spoiler alert. I don't believe it has anything to do with Howard the Duck. At the end of the last Thor movie with the Collector, you notice Warlocks cocoon in the background. Fast forward to the end of this movie and you'll notice the exact same cocoon behind Howard. Only this time the cocoon has been burst open. Food for thought. :)

I actually really enjoyed Drax. He is supposed to come off as more muscle than brains, but at the same time he has these moments of mental clarity that remind you that he in fact capable of understanding. When I saw Drax I was like: "Is that... Batista?" and I was surprised he actually sold me on his character. He gave me the most memorable laughs of the entire film. Besides, Rocket and Starlord have more than enough charisma to hold down the fort.

Just came back and I will say this movie was...AWESOMETACULAR! I really cant say anything negative about it, it was feakin hilarious, action packed, and full of heart. I think Jeremy was a bit too critical of Bautista's performance. I think he fit the role like a glove, what does it matter if he wasnt really an actor before this? I heard they wanted Jason Mamoa to play Drax. Which sounds cool but I dont think he would have been the same. Im glad he got greedy and didnt want to do it for the money they offered.

Update on my previous post. Watched this last night and Jeremy, never have I disagreed with you more on a film since The Dark Knight Rises. Bautista has some of the best lines in the film and he delivers it in a completely deadpan manner. Sure, his acting isn't as fluid as the others but first off its his first main part ever and second the story never really calls on him to deliver a heart-wrenching moment. The villain, sure he's number 2 but then again wasn't Bane a number 2? Plus was Bane really memorable? Or even Loki if really you knocked the movie for giving us a number 2 villain as Thanos was controlling him too. It seems like you were nit-picking this film as opposed to enjoying it for no real reason. I dunno maybe you had a shit day or something but personally, this is one of Marvel's best movies and they handled almost everything perfectly. Awesometacular without a doubt.

zinho73 Oh yes of course hence why I stated that I disagreed with him. Normally, I can watch his videos and, even when I disagree, I can understand his points. But his arguments were weak this time around and it felt as if he had gone to the film in a shit mood and took it out on the film. The rating doesn't phase me in the slightest. So far this year my top 3 films have got to be 1) Guardians of the Galaxy 2) Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 3) Captain America: The Winter Soldier Very picky with my films and I just felt he reviewed this film unfairly. Oh well doesn't matter, it was still a positive rating.

Michael Andrews I fully agree with your list for top movies so far in this year. I also agree Jeremy was not himself when he watched this movie, the only time I ever disagreed with him was when he gave The hobbit a Bluray grade as well because the movie was 48fps. This time around he even forgot to mention Groot, one of the best things about the movie, and no mention of Nebula(who I loved) I wished he had watched this in IMAX 3D because the movie is perfect for that as well. Anyway the general consensus states that this movie is indeed AWESOMETACULAR

***** Yeah, it's not like they will put Galactus straight out on the 3rd avengers movie, because they would need waaaaaaay more heroes to do anything. Thanos seems to be, imo , the best (or one of the best) choice of enemy to the cast of heroes we have now. If they had spider-man and the X-men, then I'd call the Civil War being a better choice. People would be really forced to pick a side in that one, so I think it would make a really cool idea.

Since the first Avengers movie came out every super hero movie since then has been so dark and serious that it lost the fun of going to see a super hero movie. Iron man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America Into Darkness, and Man of Steel were all so serious and trying so hard to be dark and edgy that it kinda made me wanna drop superhero movies all together. FINALLY we get our fun superhero adventure movie!!! It was such a breath of fresh air to the superhero movie genre! Very original, very fun, and in my opinion best Marvel film since Avengers Assemble.

4disndat2unme Nobody seemed to notice but the last Captain America is almost scarily similar to Star Trek Into Darkness. Almost to go as far and take entire scenes and elements from the ST. They made minor changes so that they didn't seem as similar but I still kinda caught them. Plus the entire conflict of Winter Solider is a sub plot that is addressed in Into Darkness.

Well I've seen Into Darkness about 100 times now and I only saw Winter Soldier once (their both great movies). But yeah I do think there are some similarities. Bull-headed, blonde protagonists take on the head of the military federation/division who turns out to be the bad guy trying to cause war/chaos with the help of an advanced super soldier who turned out to be a relic of the past kept cryogenically frozen for a long period of...... OH MY GOD!!!!!!. Their almost exactly the same!!!!!! How did I miss that?!!!

4disndat2unme I know right! It's not that I don't like Winter Solider. Its still a cool flick but when you take so many plot points from a film that came out just a year before its hard for me to call it the best phase 2 Avenger film. Then again I think Into Darkness was freaking awesome and I do like super hero so I can't be too hard on it.

have to disagree on drax. I thought batista did a darn good job with him and he was a great character. He was shown to be worthy as an opponent in combat since he kicked Drax's ass twice and almost killed him. I do think he should have lived on though and returned at a later date. Either way the film was fantastic and quite top in my opinion.

Jeremy, I normally synch up perfectly with your opinions, but GOTG is the very definition of "Awesomtacular". You committed the fanboy/reviewer sin of "Penalizing A Movie For What You Wished It Was Instead Of Reviewing What Is There." The entire POINT of Ronan was so the audience knew he was just a puppet of Thanos. They went through not one, but TWO scenes to point that out. That didn't take away from Ronan being a bad-ass. We knew from The Avengers that Thanos its he main baddie. So your criticism of on this point makes no sense to me.

Batman Mask of the Phantasm The movies on here constantly change positions and can often be switched out by other films... also I'm pretty sure Guardians is only number one because it's still fresh in my mind... though it still has earned it self a spot on my top ten... There were some things I liked about Guardians. Some of the jokes made me laugh especially "I'm going to die surrounded by a bunch of idiots" and the computer graphics were very good. But I left the theater feeling underwhelmed, which is a real shame because of all the good things I've heard about the movie. The biggest problem I had with the movie was that I didn't care about the characters at all. I'm sorry but I didn't get why they decided to get together and fight Ronan (the two who Ranon/Thanos hurt, I understood somewhat but the motivations of Quill, Groot and Rocket were unclear to me). Which is a real shame because I know these actors are very talented. That being said, I can see why people like it (and I'm totally ok with people who do like it because you've got a right to your opnion) but it wasn't what I was hoping for; a character driven narrative.

Quill, Groot and Rocket's motivation are the EXACT same of what Han Solo's motivation is. Plus, the motivation of not having the galaxy wiped out might be enough -.-

Have to say when I left the theater I was pretty disappointed. The humor worked rarely, most of the time it felt awkward and a bit forced. It relied too much on cultural references and very specific character traits and was predictable. I expected the humor to be more subtle: hell, even Thor 2 and Iron man 3 had more subtle humor than GotG. The effect was lacking because of the quirky humor abundance. The main plot was very simple but overwhelmed with subplots. Didn't carry much themes, was centered on the whole infinity gems plot, and instantaneous characters change was really weird. The character interactions were sloppy, most of it was exposition, countless of times keeps explaining the plot to raise the tension. Would give this film "Good time, no alcohol required" but I really don't see what was so great about it. It's better than most of first phase movies, but that ain't saying much.

It was fun, humorous, and surprisingly very, very heartfelt. I thought the characters were great and I didn't really have a problem with the villain. I understood his motivation and I felt he was what he needed to be. I really liked the secondary villain, Nebula and I think she has great potential to be a really good villain in future films.

5ick5imon Loki is not the usual "Look at me I'm so badass and evil" villain. His motives are pretty understandable and he's easy to feel bad for, but he can also be manipulative and greedy. • @BatmanHQYT
    @BatmanHQYT10 жыл бұрын

Just came back from the IMAX showing of this about an hour ago. WOW. That was one bizarre, out-of-place, straight-out odd movie, but everything about it was so strangely appealing - good god, that was ENTERTAINMENT right there. This movie was funny, action-packed, colorful, and an instant classic. BUT, I must say, I have to agree with a few things that you said. Drax's story of his murdered family was never emphasized well enough for me to really get a sense of Ronan's menace. Dave Bautista's performance was something I actually did sort of enjoy, though I agree how he could have seriously put some more emphasis on his character's background rather than the (still otherwise well-played) anger and rage. That too was something I found a bit inconsistent - it just gradually dies down as the movie goes on and his dark and brooding nature is just washed away. He keeps on enjoying himself with a bunch of things and doesn't get mad that he never got to personally kill Ronan, and then claiming he was a "puppet" after all that, making his starting anger downright meaningless. Ronan was a weak villain, obviously. These overly angry fanatic villains are NEVER my type - they just come across as pissed off and more annoying than frightening to be around - Ronan was portrayed with a psychopathic edge to him but this never bordered on frightening at all - I didn't get goosebumps imagining what would happen if any of the characters in the movie crossed him. The final battle was also a bit anticlimactic and basically rendered Ronan totally useless, though I found the lukewarm level of excitement to be fitting to balance out the otherwise extremely excited (and exciting) tone of the film. *SPOILERS IN THIS NEXT SECTION* I also had some of my own gripes - the Collector was very underused. And the thing about his assistant committing suicide because of her "slavery" was completely unconvincing - his aide's appearance in Thor: The Dark World made her look satisfied with her job - her "twin" or whatever being wired up to something was also strange and confusing. Her anger was never fully justified, and the scene forced the protagonists out of the Collector's abode, ending his screen time and making his appearance a bit disappointing, though I really liked Benicio Del Toro's performance. Also, at times the humor in the movie seemed to be trying too hard to be funny, and a couple of the one-liners, despite how intentionally cheesy they may have been, nonetheless came across as a tad bit unnecessary. Rocket was superb, though even some of his lines cane across as a bit unnecessary. Other times the humor just fell short and ended up hammy. *SPOILERS END NOW.* HOWEVER, there was a ton I really liked. Besides the incredible effects, the performance of the other four head characters were terrific - Chris Pratt was very enjoyable as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana did a much better job than Bautista at putting emphasis on Gamora's backstory despite its scarcity that you pointed out, leaving me with fascination and curiosity on her background as opposed to just frustration and underwhelm like Drax's. Vin Diesel was so amazing as Groot, perfectly capturing his optimism and sheer enjoyment for everything, and Bradley Cooper was downright priceless as Rocket. The song selection as well as the movie's actual score were both perfect. The dramatic scenes were quite beautiful and touching. The supporting cast was great, too, especially Yondu, though I must say the Collector was quite underused, and pretty much everything the movie had going for it was excellently pulled off. Props to this movie, I had an awesome time.

Best Marvel Movie PERIOD. Jeremy, I wish you would've talked about the amazing visuals more. You could've talked about the music: the integration of classical music in this movie was done very well , the director was able to make everything mesh well fluidly. Also, I enjoyed seeing the power of Ronan with only ONE infinity stone knowing the Avengers: Age of Ultron will be coming out with Thanos as the main villain with the infinity gauntlet which has all the stones. I think Marvel was trying to show the power of the stones and fans are even more excited to see Thanos unleash the power of all the stones. They showed Thanos at the end credit scene of the Avengers and I feel like you could've addressed that too. Great review tho, these are just my minor critiques. I was hoping for more out of this review.

It was mostly comedy. Even when they were trying to be serious star lord would always say something stupid and funny. Also man of steel was WAY better then this shit. Yes man of steel was a little different but was still better than GOTG. GOTG was making half the people sleepy. I'd give this movie a 6 out of 10.

Man of Steel?! Man of Steel is the worst movie I've ever had the misfortune of seeing in theatres! It's the worst superhero movie ever made. Disregards the comics, horrible cast, terrible plot, mistakes Superman for the dark knight, and is basically just one long ludicrously stupid fight scene. Hell, if you hold Man of Steel as your gold standard for a superhero film, than its no wonder you didn't like GOTG.

I have to disagree with you with Respectfully of course on how Dave Bautista played Draxx the Destroyer, I thought he presented himself well as an actor who played an alien who took metaphors very literally so thumbs up for Dave!

He disliked it because he doesnt watch wwe, so he automatically thinks that Batista is an inexperienced actor. The truth is, even though Batista is not an actor but he played the role very well. But thisJeremyjahns dude actually said "if he was a better actor". Jeremyjahns i expected a much better review from u, but why am i even telling him this he doesnt even read the comments section at all.

I don't watch WWE, but I know the character of Drax, and Bautista played him fairly spot on. He managed to combine two continuity's personalities in one character-which gives the character more depth than either one. I think he DOES read the comment section, I just don't think he'd care/change his opinion. And that's okay.

WWE is crap but i can see why.. bautista doesn't bring any additional dimensions to the character (nor should he)... bautista is a wrench and he be treated as such..... don't despair ep 2 or 3 he will be out and story line will transcend

All I know is the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive if they give a film of deadpool a hard "R" with good timeing on the comedy thats what a deadpool film should be sure it needs work but its test footage I wouldnt mind if they keep it CGI I think if they go in the direction of that footage it will be awesome

it was incredible. i understand how meremy didnt think bautistas role was fleshed out enough, but for one of his first acting roles, and the pressure of so many incredible actors, he did well.
