Not to mention Rocket's role in the Avengers Infinity saga...I LOVED how crucial he was in that story.

One easter egg I love but rarely see anyone talking about is the opening song of Volume 2. The song playing when we see Ego with Peters mom is called Brandy (your a fine girl) by the Looking Glass. This was a one hit wonder for the band and the only song that ever got popularity. Similar to how Peter was a one hit wonder for Ego, with Peter being the only child of Ego to carry his celestial powers. James Gunn purposely chose this song, for this reason.

This just made me appreciate how much detail James Gunn puts into his movies. Everything he does is so well thought out. I think Rocket’s arc in the MCU has really been something special and I can’t wait to see how it gets resolved.

James Gunn's work has always been extremely well thought out, and I love that about him. Everything has a purpose, every detail has a meaning.

“A little continuity detail” *proceeds to say “the back of Peter’s hand remains cut from Nebula threw the dagger at him” 😂

I’m gonna miss the Guardians 😭😭😭 I’m not ready to say goodbye, I absolutely love the Guardians movies (my dad as well) the thing I love the most about the Guardians movies is the soundtracks, Gunn has good taste in music

I always felt the only thing missing to make the ending scene perfect in this movie was if Rocket was holding a piece of Groot in his other hand. Completing the chain and giving baby and future Groot that boost.

I've always wondered what would've been his reaction to Thor & and the Asgardians calling him a rabbit.. it was heartwarming how Thor never looked down on him.. it's almost as if Thor knew what kind of attrocities he may have have gone through

Here's a fun fact about "stuff" glowing under blacklight; just having the light itself won't do it. You need to have a filter in front of it that blocks all the extra "noise" so it just reflects the specific light beams bouncing off instead of every beam.

Rocket is one of the best characters played by Bradley cooper. The depth and humor this character has wouldn't have come out if someone else had voiced him.

I freakin' love this movie with my whole heart. It is easily one of the best additions to the MCU.

Great observations...it's true that the Guardians Movies have done most of the world building in the MCU...I was not invested in the story of the infinity stones and the interconnectedness of the MCU until seeing GOG Vol 1. Even as standalone movies...they have been truly fun, imaginative...well put together and fantastic...it's a shame to see the end of them but they will be forever loved...kudos to the creative team and thanks Eric..hope we finally find out that secret Easter egg😂

@The Deep Dive I can tell this is such a labor of love for you. This review of Vol. 1 is so informative and peels the layers of the movie. Cannot wait for your review of Vol. 2 and then to see Vol. 3 in theaters. Keep up the great work on these Marvel films and others you pick! I really enjoy the content.

Now I understand what he meant when he said that, his story is actually sad😢. I'm happy for him now after Volume 3. I hope to see him more in the future.

It's great how this seems to be one of the few MCU movies that is getting better with time as more and more details information come out of this almost 10 year old movie.
