This Idea behind this song was the discovery of the clock tower in the iron realm based on the iron fey series. The main character reaches a huge tower in a steampunk like region. Everywhere is smog but you can clearly see the large clock on the tower.
I wanted to create the whole track on the typical tick tack sound you hear in the beginning. Unfortunately I lost the focus in the middle section but all the other parts are build on top of this sound.
The base for the staccato string section (short string movement) was an experimental trial and error thing. In other words it was a failure, but I liked it very much, so I keept it.
I used a few new libraries for this track and tried out different techniques. Special stuff was Jaeger for the vocals and juggernaut for the perkussion effects.
