He was a crucial part in the team who braved the vault of glass, and destroyed the conflux of time himself, atheon. And much to Eris mourns dismay he was one of the six brave guardians who survived the horrors of the hell mouth, where he slayed the hive God Crota himself he even wore one of crota's generals skull as his own helmet, the general they call the death singer. May he rest in peace, now his light is the travellers.

perhaps we watched a 3 minutes of an amazing tribute, but I bet his friends watched hundreds of hours of memories flying infront of them. Remember the first legendary, or the first gjallahorn. Remember his first reaction when he got atheon, and how thrilled he was to download crotas end. A 3 minutes clip and an endless amount of memories. Farewell, buried in earth to blossom in heaven.

I love this side of humanity. The selfless commitment for others. When something strikes a community of any kind. It is not hard to band together. Long live Josh in our memories!

Just reading the details on this man. . . .He did everything within his power as a man living in our day and age to cure himself and prevent his inevitable death, he didn’t take his death lying down, he devoted his life to beating death. Most people won’t put nearly that much effort into self preservation. Guy deserves major props. That man needs to be honored.

guardians will not be separated by styles and should mourn together as one light,though each class may honor him differently

With every world conquered and enemy defeated, we shall remember the ones we have lost on the way.

this goes to show that when we play, we build a bond with other players. we come to call them brother, sister, friend or even love. these bonds cannot be broken while that person is with us and even after they are gone, they will still be with us. RIP Joshua

Bungie should do something about this. Put Joshua in the game somehow to forever memorialize him in something he loved so much.

I came across this video today by chance. I did not know this young man, Josh, but he has some incredible friends. The video is moving, shows respect, care and love. May he rest in peace. May God bless and watch over all of you. Semper Fidelis.

Josh and I were pretty close in grad school - part of the same cohort, more or less next door to each other, same small group of friends (B, O, A, S - miss you all). I think about him often, even still. I came to this video because I just found out about a new CF treatment, and saw how happy a young man was to receive it. I mostly just wanted to say thanks to this community for remembering our friend in this way. I'm glad to see the love.

As Belle Bunny said, well done. As many a person knows, he was one of those players who was liked throughout the whole community. After reading that little summary of his life, I couldn't help but write this comment. This beautifully well-crafted video was what he deserved, after living his whole life with such a disease, trying to prevent it from effecting others in the future, and then - sadly - passing away. Even though the last of his Light was used up in his last battle against the Darkness, his memory shall live on through us, as a community. R.I.P Joshua R.Stokell. :'(
