The Asian Games was held at the end of the year. Maybe that's the reason why so many buildings were under construction.

+Frank Fan Nah its like that all the time. These chinese cities are growing at a crazy pace man. Its unfathomable to a westerner used to seeing a few cranes in the city and maybe a big metro project every decade. In China its breakneck speeds. They are moving towards something big in the future.

I was sick a lot when I lived in China, but I liked the eggplant there. I ate it nearly everyday :)

I wish we had more footage of the city, it rained almost the entire time we were there, I think. But everything seemed under construction, I bet the place has changed a lot. -E

that's awesome that you mentioned the AIDS stats for china... and their public policies... my cousin is a senior UN aids coordinator...she help develop the public policy for condom distribution... government mandates pricing so its accessible for everyone...

This was one of the first videos I have seen you guys with bad looking food to eat.

You need some serious nerves to go to Guangzhou. They do not speak english in those parts. I'm Chinese, don't speak the language, and I would wet my pants if you dropped me in the middle of Guangzhou. My parents are from the south (Taishan and Kaiping) which is why we went there. I'm very impressed by you two and I love your videos you are so adventurous. Hit up Foshan and visit Wong Fei Hung Academy it was awesome, lion dances daily.

Guangzhou was a little rough around the edges but we didn't feel threatened at all there. I guess it's not as bad as some of the American cities we've been to, haha.

those are not noodles but goose intestines and yes they should be crunchie :P

China will do that!

I think the noodle is rice noodle. I like it a lot though but not with the goose intestine.

I feel the same way about Durian, I can't stand the smell either.

That's nice that China is progressive around birth and STD control! We were delighted to see it so openly distributed. Of course I'm sure the one child policy has something to do with it....haha.

I once had a fake romance with a fake girl with a fake profile from Guangzhou. My real girlfriend from Manolo Fortich Mindanao where you visited the Del Monte pineapple plantation is much better. By the way. I have actually met her on more than one trip to the Philippines.
