GUAM: Pretty beach of Tumon Bay Beach (Pacific Ocean)

Island of Guam, Pacific Ocean - Tumon Bay and Tumon Bay Beach, great views of Guam! Let's go for a tour of Guam's most popular beach area, Tumon Bay, which is full of luxury resorts, hotels and shopping malls. Tumon Bay and Tumon Bay Beach is a district located along the northwest coast of the United States unincorporated territory of Guam. Located in the municipality of Tamuning, Tumon Bay and Tumon Bay Beach is the center of Guam's tourist industry. Tourists flock to the beaches of Tumon Bay to enjoy the clear water and a day full of activities. Popular attractions include shopping. The central area of Hotel Row at Tumon Bay and Tumon Bay Beach is home to the largest tunnel aquarium in the world, an attraction known as the Daring Sling Shot (riders are strapped into a ball that's shot upward on a wire and brought back down), and the popular Magic on Ice Show at the Sand Castle. Now Tumon is viewed by some as a "mini-Waikiki", with Hawaiian style fire dances. There are also many Chamorro shows available.
The beaches in Tumon are all wildlife preserves. Fishing is allowed in certain areas, but fishermen must stand on the beach to cast their nets or fishing lines. Walking into the water to fish is illegal.

I lived there for 2 years 1955 to 1957. That was before any high rise or tourists. My dad was stationed at Anderson Air Force Base. All I remember was being at the beach or playing in the jungles. We were told not to go too far in the jungle because of wild boars and they said there might still be Japanese soldiers hiding in there.

+Vic Stefanu - World Travels and Adventures I stand corrected. I just visited Guam for a week and yes it is 90 or 80 percent Japanese tourists. Also Korean tourists but during my stay it was mostly Japanese. A few Taiwanese and Filipinos as well.

I'd believe that 98% of the tourists to Guam are Asian, but I don't believe that quite that many are from Japan anymore. Some families that may seem Japanese are probably Korean. In fact, I believe I heard several of the people speaking Korean at the beach in your video. I live in Saipan, a 50-minute flight from Guam. Around 20 years ago, most of the tourists here were Japanese, but now most are from China, while others mainly come from South Korea, Japan, and Russia. I know that because of U.S. visa restrictions for Chinese citizens, fewer Chinese people would travel to Guam, while there is a visa waiver to the Northern Mariana Islands (where Saipan is located).

I want to visit but man it's so expensive, the flight from let say Chicago to Guam cost about $1500 round trip per person in JANUARY or FEBRUARY!! not including the accomodation..., I don't know if I buy the ticket to Asia (such as Japan) and Guam separately will be cheaper compare from the one directly from US. The airline industry needs to bring down the rate to attract more US tourists to their own territory or they will flock the Carribeans

Hi Jay, yes, I am the one using the camera here, what do you think? (I take 100% of my videos and never use any one else's material). Incidentally, you may notice a different quality of a picture here and this is because the SAMSUNG that I had with me died the night before in Guam, it had a focusing problem and could not focus anymore so I stopped using it. So, I got a brand new SONY that this was its first experimental project, it did well provided that I did not have time to read any of the directions. Since then however, I have figured out how to use it more effectively and if you notice, you will see that it takes great videos..
