Yes indeed. If you’re playing 1080p the 8Gb with Frame Gen is fine for a few more years yet. One power connector so no need to upgrade your PSU.

because in reality consumer did not really progress either. 1080p become mainstream back in 2009/2010 now 15 years later 1080p still the mainstream resolution. if pc gamer play their game to be at parity with console quality which is medium to high preset 8GB is plenty for 1080p. the PC version have to push things like ultra so more resource like VRAM can be used. but this has become hardware maker ploy for PC gamer to buy hardware that they probably does not really need.

The fact is 6gb is too much for that time most game run with less than 4gb vram. and now a day most game run with less than 8gb vram.

Realmente esta bien una gráfica que vale 100$ o menos puede jugar una enorme cantidad de juegos y aunque 60fps no se dan muchas veces ahora con el fsr3 mod y el frame generation 60fps si se puede dar en muchos juegos con calidades medias y alguno que otro con ajustes en alto pero es genial que una gráfica aya vivido tanto y siga rindiendo con la salida de las rx 5000 esa 4060 dejara de costar + de 500$ y 3 años después valdrá lo mismo que la 1060 esta genial ya que las rx 6600 están ya por tocar su mínimo cuando salgan las series 8000 de AMD por lo que ya sería posible ayarlas hasta por 100$ con el tiempo por lo que será un buen upgrade de esa 1060 realmente los que solo buscan jugar sin importar la calidad serán muy veneficiados nada más salga la serie 5000 de nvidia ya que eso matará por fin los precios de la serie 6000 de AMD asiendo accesible en el mercado de segunda mano tarjetas nvidia no menciono por que muchas en el mercado de segunda traen el chip dañado no vale la pena arriesgarse pero con AMD cambia por que es fácil pedir piezas de lo que sea de aliexpres pero de nvidia no

Have a Ryzen 7 2700x with a x470 asrock Board. And a Rtx 4070s. 32Gb Ram 2133mhz... (asrock mb dont want run it faster😢) first used a GTX 1060 6gb. And got there like 10-30 fps.

If you want upgrade from GTX1060, buy RTX3060-12G, not 4060. 8GB VRAM = very bad “low fps”
