Fantastic up-to-the-wire racing! Captivating multiple camera shots! I'm so hooked on GTR! I can't get enought!

I'm more grateful than usual to have both Aaron and Richard to help keep me _Tracking_ ! So much action, so many surprises, so many close calls and finishes with super thin margins of victory! Wow 🤩

Total excitement from start to finish ! Those close finishes were tremendous! Congrats to Daddy G and Lone Star for moving forward, and a Big Thanks to GTR for putting up such a great tournament on this amazing track, makes you want to watch over and over again, can't wait for the next race to come up!!@!

I need to go back and see that. I just get so involved in the race and don't pay attention to a lot of things.

All the back and forth in this one are a tale for the ages.

Possibly the best set of races so far, with a very well matched group! Some wild action on the drift pad, but not too many DNF's. One of many strengths of this track is that all sorts of unlikely things could happen, ensuring no two races are ever the same.

I just LOVE how you all keep me in suspense for the longest time waiting for the next upcoming race (weather conditions factor into this as well 😁) Serious racing going into race 5 where it was anyone's race to win up to that point. On Race 5 (and this is only MY opinion) Daddy G made a "dirty" move on Bolo Brown going into the drift which made him unable to complete the race but Doc took advantage of Lone Star's mishap to take the win. Race 6 Bolo Brown came out strong but lost it on the scrambler as he couldn't correct himself in enough time to take the win, but kudos to Bolo as he did complete the race. Doc didn't do himself any favors as he had a bad start coming out of the blocks and it seriously cost him. AWESOME drifting by Bolo Brown but sadly enough it wasn't enough for him to advance to the Elite 8. Congratulations are in order for Lone Star and Daddy G for advancing to the Elite 8 and AWESOME commentating from Aaron Take and Richard Gere, ready for race 3!!!!!!!!

Yeah. I disagree about that one finish that the judges ruled a tie.

Daddy G confused me. His car is front loaded - it weighs more in front than in back. I expected him to overdrift every time but he only did so in the first two races. Not the behavior I expected from a front loaded car. In any case, congrats to the winners!

Mike, I admit it is a mystery. I own 22 Honda Civic Type R's. A few are great drifters (Cpt Yasamura) and a few are consistently off. Again, these are SOTB Hotwheels, no added weight. Go figure.

I was thinking the same thing! 🤷‍♂️ It still might be its downfall next round. I'll probably set up my car with a 50:50 weight distribution for the next mail-in.

What are you using for that first drift corner? Isit also a 3d printed part?

Hi John. It's not a 3D printed part. It's made from Coloplast. I show how to make a drift pad and how it works in my build #3, season 3 video from this past summer.

Awesome track. The extreme bumpy ride towards the finish line is a bit too steep, would like to see them less steep to encourage a more realistic driving conditions. 👍🏁🏁🏁

Thanks for the critique, Keith. If I make it less steep the cars tend to get stuck. This portion of the track is a textured fiberglass sheet. I may try to smooth it out a bit with a filler just to see if it adds realism. Thanks again!

What happened to Bolo Brown in race 3? He's way in front before the U-turn and is last after!

Correct, Bolo did have a good lead. I cut to the drift cam, but can tell you that Bolo had the outside lane on the U-turn and DaddyG on the inside lane. The drone cam footage would have shown DaddyG barely passing Bolo when the lanes came together after the U-turn. I'm going to do more 1-camera tracking during the actually race, then show stationary cam footage for the replays. Viewers seem to favor that.

What do the % at the car weigh in's represent?

Front and rear weight distribution. Because the cars are drifting, I wanted the viewers and builders to see this. I briefly explain it at 1:57 in time trial video 1 of 3.

It's actually a very simple trick. Any scale would work. Your weight is transferred into the ground thru your feet. If you balanced yourself with one foot on a scale you'd weigh the same as both feet down, but if you placed one foot on the scale and the other on the floor, then theoretically you'd weight 1/2 your total weight. We weigh airplanes and determine their center of gravity with scales under each wheel truck.
