I think, in general, Pontiac had the best looking cars in the business in the 60s and early 70s, just my opinion.

The Pontiac I once rented was a 2003 Grand Prix SE. Even though it was no longer available as a 2 door starting that year, I enjoyed driving it. It had the base 6 cylinder engine but don't remember the displacement. The Grand Prix was restyled for the last time in 2004.

I have a special 1968 Pontiac Tempest Custom Coupe special ordered with a v8 350 day one from the factory instead of the 326 v8. Bought it from a 1 owner 73yr old woman. Stock 2 barrel carb 282HP. I like my Pontiac. Thanks again for sharing. Truck Driver Ray. See ya on the next one👋

At nearly seventy four now, I got to live in the greatest era of rigs to roll our highways. In parting shots a look at a another thirty five I think. Great looking rig but that floorshift cover made at a last moment is very detracting from this rigs value in my opinion. Got to see a true 64 GTO and its blue was just great as I do remember a lot were. Kid in my hometown got a black one, but quickly traded it in for the 65 when those came out. Not sure why the 64 holds on dear in my heart.

I really enjoyed this video. Damn, how many green GTO's did they make? Friend of mine out of Chicago drove down to Mecca Indiana (home of McLain Stevenson of MASH fame) to buy a 1969 Firebird T/A that I found sitting in Mecca Auto Salvage. This was in 1978 or so and he already had a 4 speed and this car was an automatic. I think he paid around 800 bucks and it was rotten to the point of breaking in two! Great Video

Parents had a 62 Tempest Wagon, then 63 & 69 Bunnies. Fantastic cars, esp the 63. Then Mom bought a 77 Ventura (like a Nova) & Dad bought an early stick Sunbird, both of which were total crap. After that they switched to Toyotas on my recommendation.

I think that the '65 - '66 - '67 GTOs were the only vehicle that was able to successfully pull off the stacked quad headlamps. There were a few other makes and models that tried to do it......but none were really as attractive as the mid-60's GTOs.

Loved the shot of the Sprint 6 LeMans. I had a 68 Firebird with that package. Probably my favorite car. Also had a 83 Phoenix. Worst pile of excrement I ever owned. GM started Pontiac's down turn when they forced them to quit building unique cars and made them sell the bland badge engineered crap.

The X body FWD was particularly terrible. They learned a lot of lessons that they put into the 1982 A and J body cars, but it still wasn't until years later (and the addition of fuel injection) that they became really durable and dependable. My uncle had Citations and very vocally hated them, but for some reason kept buying them

What’s up with that blue ‘69 GTO with the white vinyl top? The left rear wheel is tucked way under the quarter panel, and the right rear wheel is tight to its quarter panel. It looks like this body may have wrecked hard once, and things weren’t exactly realigned properly.
