This team isnt also capable enough to retain the original artstyle of the game....Besides that thier effort is commendable....I wish they get the art lead which is mr garbut i think and make him refix the definitive edition after GTA6 development is done... with the original architect's hand in that the game would look better.

A multibillion dollar company who went for a quick and cheap buck by hiring the C Team that only makes mobile games, peak comedy, that the clowns who print money yearly with GTA Online couldn't be bothered to do a good work of remastering the games that put them on top of the food chain of the game industry.

This is like a childhood dream come true. I wish Tommy wasn’t cut out of the franchise and we’d get an actual Vice City remake or second part. The hours I spent in VC back on PS2 are uncountable. Such good memories. If the modding crew reads this. Thank you very much for your efforts guys. If the mod is finally released I will definitely get it.

GTA VC Remake based on GTA IV Engine, It actually makes sense cuz OG GTA VC heavily used assets from GTA 3 even all animations were used in GTA VC The modder who made GTA VC Remake really observed the situation that Rockstar had at that time so he used the GTA IV engine not the GTA V Engine which is a nice touch

Gator Keys area added would be awesome... Some more elements from definitive edition like the grass and sea life spawn rates...... (Fish, Sharks, Dolphins and Turtles) And of course Reshade support

so glad they kept the original models for the characters , non can replicate those rigid ps2 models like themselves.

I think in some of the missions where there are no cutscenes (in the original game) just simple repetitive animations , it would be great to put they're own spin in some of the missions or maybe add some cutscenes that were cut in the original game or add back some cutscenes from the beta that they'll make more sense to be in the final game 🙏❤

Things created out of love and passion will ALWAYS triumph over things cobbled together with the ultimate aim of making profit. It's not that you can't make something nice and make it profitable. It's just that the profit has to come as a consequence of a good product naturally, not artificially, by tricking, false advertising, pay-to-win model, etc. as is quite popular nowadays. Reminds me of an Arthur Miller quote: "Don't be seduced into thinking that that which does not make a profit is without value."

Goverment always tell us that russians are bad people and then they try to sell us shitty products and ban fan made products, but the Russians are always there to save us, i mean russians are one of the best modders out there

I'd suggest adding more police departments spawning in their respective areas since GTA IV gives that opportunity, for example Vice Beach PD, VCPD with blue uniforms, airport police as well as the ones we're used to - Metro PD. Also, it would be nice to have some leisure activities like playing golf and stuff so that there'd be something to do after completing the storyline. Overall, it's a great mod, I'm so looking forward to the release!

It’s funny. modders can do better job then devs Rockstar hired. Then again didn’t they use mobile versions? And used older version of UE4, when they should have used UE 5.3+ or newer. I don’t think Grove street games has HAD a single success story, which is proof of how lazy or unskilled their team is. Modders are doing better job. That is hilarious, Rockstar should be hiring them hah. Is still wish Rockstar, not some nobody dev team would do full remake of GTA Vice city. Update/upgrade all that graphic and texture, but using their newest version of Rage game engine. But we know that never happen. They too busy working on GTA6. So I guess that have to do for now. Never played other gta, played GTA 1, some GTA3, played a lot of GTA Vice city. I loved vice city Cus had all my 80’s favorit sound tracks. Also played a lot gta 4 and 5. Just recently replayed GTA5 (ps5 edition). Had blast. Can’t wait for GTA6.

I hope they improve the model meshes and cutscene improvement, either it's the same style as it a remastered, or newer style as it a remake

There is some mod cars that stick to the originals but with even more detail than the ones in this video i think they should try to use those

INTERIOR MOD/MORE CLOTHING OPTIONS (check gta vice city loosend mod for more inspo)

My suggestions 1. Make streets and sidewalks lively like in gta 4, a little messy and really messy in some areas 2. Make the areas beyond the sidewalk whisch look really empty, into concrete/grass parks or parking lots, 3. Add more details from the games era that its set in 4. GTA VCS empire building if possible, i really loved that bit of VCS 5. Tree variety

the sad thing is, this would probably get taken down if anyone doesnt know, RevTeam started remaking vice city way before as "Vice City 2" where it had the same things. Story missions cutscenes remade in the new engine everything this version has however that version had new character models, a really nice character model for tommy which looked modern and cool car customizations, custom missions, new elements etc. sad to see that this would also receive the same treatment as its not much different from vice city 2, its just more faithful with the character looks and models.

I can honestly admit these modders have already spent more time and effort on this mod with all the time they have had and used it wisely, compared to Rockstar who has been "working" on GTA 6 for god knows how long, past GTA 5's 10 Years active as the latest GTA game out there, and only since February have we been feeling Rockstar actually finally start finding the time to work on GTA 6 now that Take-Two made a strict release date for Fall 2025. And it is for this reason that I do not care what mistakes were overlooked in this mod, as long as the mistakes are taken into consideration and worked on (Compared to Rockstar being made aware but choosing to ignore it as long as it doesn't make them more microtransactions or moneyyyyyyy!!!) and fixed within reasonable time and kept updated, which already I have more respect for them. Cheers mod developers for this mod! Of course I would not be surprised if Take-Two would want to have a piece of the action and copyright infringe and potentially take down the mod, out of pure jealousy.

The original gun sounds would work perfect It would be cool if they would insert a Glock19 as well, maybe even some silenced weapons It would give you, the player, the posibility to finish missions in multiple ways Being able to choose from the 3D Hud(something like the one from Gta3 Rage, but just adapted to the Vc one) and HD sounds to me like a cool option

This is the remastered game we should have gotten instead.

Remaking old game is way easier than 20 years ago with the free way too powerful tools that we using today.

I think Rockstar should team up with them. I bet the majority and me inlcuded here, would have proudly paid 60 bucks for this!

Can't wait for this mod to drop, hopefully Take 2 doesn't take it down but instead hires those modders who are actually doing a much better job at remastering the game instead of their failure of a team who broke the trilogy

I think the graphics could have been much better,there was a team of modders who tried a very similar thing for many years and they have the hands down best graphics using the gta 4 engine

Is it bad that I am more excited for this over GTA VI ? I have nothing against GTA VI , but R* brought a lot of dissapointment and very little improvment lately. GTA is still alive for me because of the moders, but even the moders are problem for R*. But let's be honest, we wouldn't need moders if R* wasn't producing crap. The only thing I like about the Defective Edition is that I am able to play it on my smartphone via NETFLIX. I feel like a streaming company does a better job at carring for it's customers than a AAA gaming studio.

The more publicity this gets, the higher the likelihood it will get taken down before it even releases. These things, as exciting as they might be, need to stay under wraps until they're done and released. Thankfully the team's Russian which makes it harder to take the project down but I wouldn't be surprised if T2 still do it one way or another, if they're not happy with this.
