While I absolutely loved both games, SA always made me like it less due to all the “side stuff” you had to do (train to stay buff, go out with your GFs or risk losing them, and the sometimes poor timings of gang attacks). I know a lot of people loved the game for that, and that’s really great. But for me, it just felt like chores at some point (like how friendships work in GTA 4. Go too long without a meetup and they get pissy.)

Yeah, forcing you to keep track of all that may be immersive but it doesn’t necessarily make it more fun for EVERYONE. In vice city you only had to check up on the profits of your assets and that was just a nice incentive even if it was required to beat the main story missions.

I have much nostalgia for Vice City and I still prefer its atmosphere over San Andreas, but let's be honest, it aged badly. If we hadn't played it back then, we wouldn't find it that good today. SA came out only two years later and runs on the same engine, but it's a huge improvement when it comes to gameplay, especially in little things like being able to rotate the camera around your car or being able to walk while shooting.

Well they keep improving the game after every release. First it was gta then GTA 2 both do them were 2d. Then came gta 3 which was 3d but had nothing to fly. Then in GTA vc we got helicopters and water aircraft, then in San we got all the things that mentioned in the video that GTA didn't had. Then came the games for psp and then came gta 4 which combined San Andreas content with realist and graphic intense gameplay. GTA 5 again just increased it's size. So yeah all the games take the feedback from the previous hands.
