The stupidest thing is the police interceptor (regular cop car from online) actually has a full list of modifications. It was Orgibally going to be both a civilian and cop vehicle but then rockstar changed it. It has bumpers, exhausts, hood, ram bar, light options all avaliable. Such wasted potential

Yeah, using a trainer on PC it lets you mod it, I modded mine, it has 2 diff bumper and bullbar designs, diff lightbar options, spoilers and can change color but the livery is built on, can't take it off to make it unmarked, idk why they half-assed it. Prefer saints row how it lets you mod any even emergency vehicles no problem lol.

Not sure if it was actually intended to be a civ car, but, it is the most common police car and you can find them with changes in-game. Probably because they wanted some variety to them or use in missions. Also, it's not the only cop car to have visible changes, others have some light bar options, some have smaller details, though not as many other changes since they aren't as common.

@@Brute_BZR its not halfassed if it isn't intended for the player to do. They never intended us to use cop cars for anything other than heat of the moment carjackings. The livery isnt built on, you can actually change it, though you cant remove it since unmarked isn't a livery slot. They could have easily added 1 without the livery, but chose not too, in fact it is easier than making 1 with a livery... Also, many other cop cars have customisable liveries and small extras, most trainers don't have access to those extras or are well hidden.

There is even a way on Consoles to modify this Police car. At least in Story Mode. Get a random car from the street (stuff like Dominator, Dubsta or anything that got some customization parts) and go to LS Customs and modify it. Then just grab a Police car and drive to the helipad near the airport. Use the Ramp to slowly drive into the water till your engine dies (Make sure that all wheels are still on the ground). In the second the car dies switch to a different character. After 20 seconds switch back and you should spawn in a modified Police Cruiser. Works with any Policecar and Cab at least for Wheels and Performance parts. You can save the Cars in your garages too.

In real life, the Ford Taurus interceptor has a civilian version known as Ford Taurus SHO. I live in Virginia US and I know.

@Tanner hp427 As well as the 1992 (2nd gen) and 1996 (3rd gen which almost look like the 1992) and these are the Crown Vics that are mostly used by LAPD at the time before the Crown Vics that we all know.

There really should be a game mode added where other team are cops and another are bad guys. And cops should capture or kill the suspects by minimum force and the bad guys should evade as long as possible, or something like that. Also while they add the gamemode they should add ability to Buy and own these cop vehicles

3:50 error. 1988 is GTA SAN ANDREAS police cruisers. 1998 is when the Newer, more aggressive and modern CROWN VIC’s came around. Also, a Tahoe is a shorter suburban. If the surburban has a rear window length more than any passenger window, it’s a suburban.

1988 is not GTA SA, both LSPD and SFPD used 91-92 Caprices, LVMPD used older Caprices thought.

Enjoyed this video. I actually work on Police and Gov't vehicles for a living. Installing the lights, sirens, radios, GPS, push bars, etc.

If you mean finding it, there is a way, 11:30 am Highway gasstop by the iaa federal building out on the edge of the map, at 11:30 be on the inbound lanes onramp, get stars, then drive behind the ammunition and shoot the back wall until you see a police blip pop up on the mini map at the gas pumps, go and kill the driver and it's yours, more will spawn at the sandy pd station if your close, make sure your on a bati 801 and have snacks and armour as it's hard to to without, the time ends at 13:30 so bee quick.

@@springwoodslasher79 it is through the essentials because they both(of the same year) utilize the same grilles, lights, bumpers, tailgates, mirrors, doors, etc. the only difference being you can get a k5 with a separate bed cap piece and not have the whole thing be unibody, and you can get a suburban with rear barn doors.

My favorite of all Ford cars, the Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. 4.6L V8, Custom front and rear Suspension, can actually hit top speed/no governor, looks cool as hell!

Love it. Altho I think the Police Cruiser you turned to a 1988 CV would be more like a Chevy Caprice 1998 Police Edition. Same for the Sherrif Cruiser

You don't need to say Suburban with a hint of Tahoe because they're the same vehicle buy the Suburban is just a longer wheelbase. The Granger is a Suburban because of it's long wheelbase.

This is true for those of us that use modded cars for LSPDFR, the Tahoe is better fit for the Baller handling line along with the Explorer. The only downside is that both are much more nimble and faster then the Baller is.

That is most likely a 98 - 11 Crown Victoria p71, know this because I own an 88 Ltd Crown Victoria. also I don’t know who needs to hear this but Crown Victoria’s don’t have “cop chips”. The transmissions are slightly different and the differentials have different gear ratio than that of their civilian counterparts.

The chip is true and false, the transmission is actually the same in both, the difference being that the P71 computer ran the engine harder in RPM's before shifting, so it ran closer to redline in pursuits. But you are right, the cars didn't have much difference mechanically separating them.
