Man, wish I had this much fun in real life driving through LA. Anyone living here could instantly recognize every detail. They even show how the street pavement of Sunset Boulevard goes from bad to pristine leaving West Hollywood going into Beverly Hills. Whoever did the game design, well done.

Ah yes, the never ending mirror like reflections on every wall, street and matt texture is really selling it.

Vehicle looks amazing. The rest of the world still needs lots of love. Mostly environment al shadows and lighting.

The only games that seem to match this level of graphical height seem to be racing games these days. It's a little odd at this point that racing games have better graphics over other games. It's not a huge difference, but it's always a noticeable one.

Racing games use less triangles. Also, they do tend to look the same for the past 6-7 years. Try messing with UE5 and you'll notice a difference quickly with new gen gpus.

The textures are really looking great but even on the sunny days it looks like it is constantly cloudy and looks a bit pale. I guess the environment lightning or the raytracing isn' t calculate right because of the materials. Nevertheless have you done a great job and the overall Look' n Feel is fantastic.👍

@@10percent4DaBigGuy meh, if you think about it, there are literally no ideas that are "original" in the modern era. We pretty much explored a lot of genre in games that a lot of a specific genre, plot, and style pretty much looked inspired by other games, even though it's not.

I like the textures and the shadows but I think the sky and lighting is a bit too "gray" imo. The lighting in GTA 5 is a bit "warmer" cuz it's based on California I think. I think this suits GTA 4 better. but that might just be my monitor cuz mine's old.

Textures are practically identical to the base game. The only graphical differences in this are the way shadows behave, the ambient occlusion levels, and reflections really. In reality, this video isn't all that amazing and is cherrypicked footage that all looks "photorealistic" apparently. If you want an example of a game that truly looks good just search up Ride 4 or Metro Exodus with RTX.

The fps seem to be also cinematic. I bet everything other than a 4090 would struggle to run it at a playable framerate with all the mods and in 4K. But it looks amazing for such an old engine.

For one, a majority of people don't use 4k and also, if I were to use 4k a 3070ti would be sufficient for 60 FPS. As far as I can tell, the only serious graphical mod used is a reshading mod and all that really does is add an obscene amount of reflections and a bunch of exaggerated lighting and sun ray effects. Base GTA already runs at 120+fps at max settings on a 3060 and that's without any mods to optimize the game more (since the game is simply shit when it comes to optimization on modern GPUs). If you were to have mods which help with performance, along with this reshade mod, I wouldn't be surprised if 1440p at least was possible at 60 fps.

Watching this while getting ready to boot my shit at 800x600 w no shadows and reduced scaling on occasion 😭sick video tho, love these 🖤

What's your frame rate? I suspect it will work reasonably well with lesser gpus of the last couple of years. This looks great in comparison to default. I haven't played much of it, but I think the worst thing graphically with the unmodded game was the windows of most buildings. Especially the high rise ones. They all look completely flat and 2d, painted on, and you could tell where they repeat. The stars in the sky don't blink much either, if at all. Little things like that. The game seems to have a lack of interaction too. I know there are mods for everything (throwing any object not regarded as too heavy, sitting down on any surface or bench, smashing any non interactive tall building window and so on) but some are out of date, and shouldn't need to exist. Some people on here compare to previous games where you could some of those things (picking up objects). Where more interactivity does exist, where activities don't need to be unlocked in single player, they seem to be restricted to GTA online only. I think some users on here mention there is a lack of traditional arcade games to play at the fairground, as one example. One is there but doesn't work. You can use one vending machine for drinks, but not all of them, nor the ones for food or anything else. The burger stalls are also always unmanned too for some reason. You can't press the button at the crossings for walking across the road either. You can't use the phoneboxes (not that you need to, but it should still work)

The standard set is always wet asphalt, cars made of mirrors. It is strange that there is no permanent rain, but in fairness I will note that in this video the author at least shoots during the day
