I remember playing the original as a kid and the toilet rapping scene will never not be funny. "Yo! That shit sucks! Damn!"

I found that doing the paramedic missions in Angel Pine makes it even easier as Angel Pine is tiny. I also loved the radio stations in the game, especially the talkback radio. The fact the news reports and the people on the talkback changed with the missions that you did was very immersive.

gta san andreas is less than half the size it was originally meant to be, imagine how much more new content and how much more polished the game could have been, and its still one of the best gta games to ever exist

I don't have any source to back this up, but i believe that the achievement "today was a good day" is a reference to the ice cube song "It was a good day", in the song he even says that the cops rolled right past him and didn't even look at his direction to pull him over.
