While i think the weight of cars was exaggerated a tad too much in GTA IV, I feel like the skill that it took to master it was much more satisfying than driving cars in GTA V

It was definitely satisfying to get the hang of but when so much of the game is vehicle based it’s jarring that handling is so poor to begin with. I personally prefer GTA Vs handling but I don’t think IV broke the game. Just one of the few areas that felt a bit rough in such a well made game.

I played gta 4 for the first time this week since I was younger and I like don’t get what people have with driving ,it’s a little slow at first and definitely has more weight but after my first hour I felt like I was driving In any other gta but with less reaction time honestly made the driving more fun for me when I usually don’t care for it might just be me though

GTA 5 begins with a prologue where 3 criminals take on a heist where Brad and Michael gets shot and Trevor escapes. This already lays the foundation that they are bank robbers and then in another cutscene, we see a burial and Michael watching his own funeral from a distance and it flashforwards to 9 years later and Michael is now a rich guy and family man who is heavily depressed. We have a cutscene where he has a conversation with his therapist where he kinda laments that he misses his crime days while denying that and that's the actual truth about an habit, it doesn't just go away, like in GTA 4 where the game tries to tell a message about morals and the missions totally opposing everything the story stands for. The camera angle shifts to Franklin and Lamar who are street's hustlers and members of a gang called the families. Franklin's and Michael's life intersect and they take on a heist which is announced on Tv and Trevor finds out that his best friend had faked his death all along because of Michael's dialogue to the guard guy and then comes back for Michael but they end up hugging in out even though it keeps causing them to quarrel frequently along the line and Franklin becoming the peacemaker. It introduces characters from Michael and Trevor past like Lester as they plan to take on their biggest heist ever, the big one. The narrative unfolds as Michael, lured back into a life of crime, teams up with Franklin and Trevor for a series of increasingly ambitious heists. Along the way, they navigate a complex web of criminal alliances and personal conflicts. The plot takes unexpected twists, revealing government involvement, personal betrayals, and moral dilemmas. Michael's troubled family life, Franklin's quest for success, and Trevor's volatile nature add layers to the story. As the characters confront their pasts and face the consequences of their actions, the narrative weaves a tale of crime, redemption, and the blurred lines between right and wrong. The story explores themes of greed, betrayal, and the pursuit of the American Dream, providing a gritty and satirical look at contemporary society

gameplay is arguable and I preferred that of GTA 5 but the environment and atmosphere easily goes to GTA 5. Most GTA 4 enthusiast can't even stand that ugly dark gritty filter and always mod it to look like GTA 5 but the car crash and ragedoll goes to GTA 4. Also neither of them are below 8/10. I would rate GTA 4 an 8.5/10 and GTA 5 a 9.5/10. It has the best single player in the franchise so far. San Andreas looses it way once you leave Los Santos and becomes a chore for example the zero missions, airplane school missions and stuff but I'd still rate it a 9/10. Although you are entitled to your opinion. No offense intended

GTA 5 online has fewer interiors than the story mode and most GTA 5 players who never played the story mode always mistake the online, where most story mode interiors are locked for the story mode. GTA 5 story mode has more interiors than GTA 4. GTA 4 didn't even have garages or tattoo shops, saloons or car dealership shops. It had very few interiors like your apartment, strip clubs, train station, clothing stores, restaurants and car wash if I could call that an interior. GTA 5 on the other hand has those stuff I listed above and more like ammunition stores, movie theaters, vanilla unicorn, gentlemen clubs, strip clubs, the hen house, floyd apartment, 24/7 stores, vendors stores, bigger and more detailed police stations, FIB building, los santos custom shops, Bahama mamas west plus those I mentioned earlier and many more plus there are more of these in GTA 5 than GTA 4 for example there are six police stations in GTA 4 with very small interiors and some being duplicates but there are 7 police stations in GTA 5 and the FIB buildings which doesn't exist in GTA 4. There are only 3 safe houses in GTA 4 but apart from the 3 houses like Franklin apartment, Trevor trailer and Michael house, there are 5 more unique apartments that can be purchased in GTA 5. There are total of 21 different restaurants including fast food vendors, dinners and more upscale eateries but there's a total of 20 establishment that player can eat from in GTA 5 apart from the locked cluckin bell and food vendors for example up-n-atom-burger, bean machine and upscale establishment like the Epsilon Center and The Gentry Manor Hotel. If only restaurants were open, there would be about 80 in total. There are 13 clothing stores in GTA 5 meanwhile theres only 6 in GTA 4 including Modo, Perseus, and The Russian Shop. There are only 11 spray and paint in GTA 4 meanwhile there are a total of 18 Los Santos Customs locations where you can customize your vehicle appearance and performance not just losing wanted level and changing vehicle color. There are 5 tattoos shops and 6 barbershop in GTA 5 and none of these exist in GTA 4.

IT'LL ALWAYS BE INFERIOR TO GTA 5 AND SAN ANDREAS.

GTA IV is far from overlooked. In fact, it's widely regarded as one of the most acclaimed (and beloved) games in history. The only way it might be considered overlooked is that, despite its extensive praise, it seems fewer people are actually playing the game (which is not a surprise).

As of 29 April 2024, Today is the 16th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto IV and though I was very young at the time and my very first GTA game was Vice City Stories on the PSP, the first game I played in the HD universe was IV on the 360 after sneaking it into the house after buying it from my local gamestop. Though I never finished it because my tiny mind could not comprehend anything it was just pure bliss, After getting a PS4 I got Grand Theft Auto V and while I did like the story's light hearted and balanced tone, it just made me appreciate GTAIV's darker tone and story more. Especially with how much R* has been milking Grand Theft Auto Online, I stopped playing GTAO just a few weeks ago because I realised I simply wasn't having fun and it was one big grinding slopfest. A year ago I bought GTA IV on my laptop and finished the game for the first time. A year ago I bought a Series S mainly for the fact that I wanted to play 360 classics I grew up with, and I bought Grand Theft Auto IV on that as well with the 2 dlcs. I can say fot certain that Grand Theft Auto IV is not my favourite Rockstar Game (L.A. Noire), but it is my favourite in the GTA series.

I’ve loved Grand Theft Auto IV ever since I got it in 2008 and I still love it today. It’s been my favorite of the franchise ever since I completed it almost 16 years ago this summer. I’m happy that as time has gone on, so many are revisiting this game again or playing it for the first time in some cases and enjoying it a lot and even giving it more credit than people did upon its initial release. The characters and story is truly the best of the franchise, Niko is a character I truly feel for. He wants to move on, yet can’t completely as he was betrayed and needs to confront who betrayed him and his friends in the war. The arc he goes on is truly amazing. These reasons and many more are why I keep replaying the game from beginning to end over and over, plus the expansion episodes of The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony make the GTA IV world even more amazing as you get to replay certain missions from different perspectives. There’s so much I could say regarding my fondness of this game and I want to thank you for the video. It’s well done and is truly excellent. Keep up the great work and take care man!

Niko Bellic is my all-time favorite GTA protagonist. The reason being is that he's a GTA protagonist who has a conscience. Unlike the other GTA protagonists like Tommy Vercetti or Carl Johnson and how they revel in their respective criminal activity, and take pride in it as they climb their way to the top, Niko feels like he would rather do anything else for a living, and is only forced to do crimes to make a living because it's legitimately the only option available to him. Sure, he does start acting like someone who revels in his criminal activity in the later parts of the story, but then gets a sobering slap in the face from reality about the consequences of his actions in either ending.

If you turn as fast as you can through a corner at broker, the car leans towards one side like a motherf..., but there was a comparesson, a car at this angle mixed with the speed would flip (talking about the suvs here). And for the taxis or sports cars, i mean if you dont break than your gonna understeer like thats completely normal. Plus the sence of speed makes a difference. Most games make you fly through tight streets or have just an complete over the top sence of speed. To the bikes, i cant say anything. Im not a Bike expert. But to the cars it may seem over the top, but it isnt if you compare it to road cars and Race Cars. Street cars basicly dont have the aerodynamics and grip to be driven like in most games. At least thats my take. Like ofc if you disagree than thats fine. But just wanted to explain why i think like this

You can call GTA4 many things but "underrated" isn't one of them. Aside from the fact that it was one of the best selling adult entertainment products at the time of it's release (second only to Call of Duty) it was also getting showered with perfect review scores left and right. It was dwarfed by it's (frankly disappointing) successor, which is pretty sad, but I think that's more of a testimony to the hype-induced snowball effect it generated... that and the power of the live service model. Anyway, I think GTA4 is in a way better place historically than GTA5. It's a rare example of a game that managed to not only be financially and critically successful at launch, but also succeeded at remaining relevant over a decade later as a cult classic. That's what it means to be successful as a game developer, if you measure success purely by the number of copies sold then you're not a game developer anymore, you're a businessman, which is why GTA5 sucks fat tits and will be completely forgotten by the time GTA6 releases.

Gta v is the best , not gta iv GTA 5 begins with a prologue where 3 criminals take on a heist where Brad and Michael gets shot and Trevor escapes.

You make fair points as to why you like GTA V. Personally I did not like it at all but that’s because I grew up with more simplistic GTAs.

@@Dimbrit It's not serious, it's just unrealistically grim. Cars move in an overly clunky way which is somehow even less realistic than the other games, which makes no sense as they went out of their way to make it boring. And the lack of colour... it isn't realistic, real life doesn't look that depressingly grey. There's no way you can say it's got personality. Every other game has tonnes of memorable moments and characters. Legit the only thing people remember or reference from this game is "want to go bowling, cousin?"

Most overrated along with vc, lack of side missions. No gang war, not talking about tlad, the main gta 4 game. Imagine there are rampages. I mean the replay value is just little imo and driving physics is so exaggerated lmfao. Story missions are just repetitive, boring mission design. Heists in 5 are way more entertaining. But i like three leaf clover too. Not as intense as the paleto score imo.

"Repetitive boring missions, heist are better in 5" Bro you are capping. Every gta game has repetitive missions and that problem became worse with 5. And besides, the heistss felt more realistic, believable and not to metion challenging in 4 than 5's hand holding crap.
