It will never run at full 4k 60fps. It’s literally impossible for Sony to produce an affordable console that could do this. With a lower resolution or with an upscale then it’s probably possible to run at 60fps.

You mean upscaling from 720p-1080p to get the 60fps on 4k?😂 PS5 that based on the card rx 5700xt with ray tracing and FSR, will get you 30fps 4k upscaling from 720p-1080p, the pro version will get you 60 fps 4k upscaling from 720-1080p. Not great at all in my opinion.

The context of the comments are also regarding the content of the video which suggested the possibility of the PS5 Pro running at 4k 60fps which is not possible.

Don’t forget . GTA 5 had a bundle with PS3 n the PS4 when it was released

This logic that you guys are using has spread like wild fire, and I blame digital foundry. If you use this logic than the ps5 is NOT more powerful than the ps4 lol. The ps4 ran a games with 2 times better graphics, all while having the se performance, the game is called RDR. This completely refutes the logic of the ps5 having to push better graphics than the ps4 with the compromise fps. If that were true than the ps5 is no better than the ps4 because the ps4 could also do the same.

Playing GTA 6 on PS5 pro will be tremendous, but I got an original standard edition but I know it still runs nicely. I'm waiting for the game more than the pro.

Even tho I’m going to buy the ps5 pro, there is still a lot that don’t see a reason to upgrade their ps4 anytime soon since it runs games, and the ps5 don’t offer much for the money they going to spend. I don’t think anyone here understands that ps5 pro is only a mid-gen refresh, not a next gen console. The current consoles were marketed as 4k/@up to 120fps. Yet not many games have even touched 60 consistently, and that’s not even at native 4k. The consoles mainly have AMD FSR’s upscaling tech to thank for even achieving 4k@60fps. Digital foundry has concluded during the GTA 6 trailer that it was (dynamic?) 1440p@30fps. I personally think GTA 6 will run at native 4k@30fps with higher quality ray tracing that the ps5 pro will help deliver. I get the hype, but stay within realistic expectations. Many won’t and many fanboys will probably blame rockstar for “unoptimization” because they didn’t get a 60fps mode. This is definitely going to be a gpu and cpu intensive title and they’ll be pushing these consoles to their limits, I just don’t see Rockstar sacrificing their industry-leading quality. Look at ff7 rebirth, the quality is hit significantly on performance mode. It’s 2020 hardware, you can only go so far until you hit limitations. I hope I didn’t upset anyone here, I just don’t see GTA 6 hitting 60 fps on either the ps5 or ps5 pro. It’ll be a banger regardless.

Pc equivalency would be a gpu around rx 6950 xt to 4070 ti level of power, and a cpu around the power of a ryzen 7 7700x

GTA VI PS5 Pro/Xbox equivalent: Native 4k@30fps with higher quality RT and more graphical fidelity. PS5/Xbox Series X: upscaled from 1440p to 4k@30fps (dynamic) Xbox Series S: 900p upscaled to 1080p@30fps or 1080p upscaled to 1440p@30fps (most likely) No 60fps realistically because this will be a very CPU and GPU intensive game designed to push these consoles to their limits. I hope I’m wrong but to achieve 60fps on the biggest game of the decade with the most advanced npcs, details, and graphical fidelity, and what looks like to be very immersive, you’re asking too much coming from 2020 hardware.

The consoles use amd fsr, which is an alternative to nvidia’s exclusive dlss, maybe it’ll be fsr3 but I don’t think it would be wise for Sony to patent and implement their own upscaling tech, it wouldn’t really be any significant improvement either with what they already have except image based.

It is a tendency that the generations of consoles will have shorter lifetimes as the technology advances faster, for the console’s hardwares will also become obsolete faster as well, this is why they are already coming up with a PS5 Pro which will also be a mid-end hardware compared to what is already out there. The PS5 Pro will launch being way slower than high end PC’s which are way too powerful. Because consoles can’t keep up with the advances of technology, each new generation will probably last a shorter time, as the publishers will never want to sell a really high-end hardware (as it is not profitable for them). Expect shorter generations of consoles. The PS5 is already old when you take this into account.

People are tripping balls hard if they think the PS5 Pro will handle GTA 6 at 4k 60FPS. Not even a 4080 handles RDR2 at 4k 60FPS at maximum. The PS5 Pro GPU power won’t even come near the power of a 4080, so it’s literally impossible to run 4k 60fps, unless it’s an upscale with DLSS or FSR. Full 4k 60fps is utterly impossible for the PS5 Pro. Anyone who believes in this smoked crack laced with fentanyl.
