People that compare the marketing cycles of GTA V to 6 aren't even considering that the September 2022 leaks possibly threw off their marketing plans completely. GTA 6 would've got revealed way earlier than it did had the leaks never happened IMO. I doubt it'll release a full 2 years after reveal like GTA V and RDR2. A lot of things are indicating that the game is in final parts of development rather than early. Also, the world in the trailer actually looks complete unlike GTA V when part of the city wasn't even developed yet in the reveal trailer.

Why would people knowing about the early stages of the games development hinder their plan to reveal the trailer sooner? If anything they would've revealed it sooner after the leaked footage so people know that the game isn't going to look how it did in the leaked footage.

@@QuackCow144 You have everything wrong. A company as big as Rockstar knows that they need momentum to make the reveal a “bang”. They probably were planning to reveal it earlier but the leaks already ruined the explosion of hype that the reveal would’ve got had the leaks never happened so they had to wait for everything to cool off. Also, revealing a trailer sooner as a sort of damage control to “prove” the game looks better than pre alpha footage is a pretty stupid move for a reveal of a new entry for the biggest franchise is the whole gaming industry.

I disagree. They haven't shown much of the countryside, lake leonida or the north portion of the map, because it's probably unfinished. Also, in the leaks, the "Lifeinvader" world event scene, you can see in the horizon that looks unfinished. In GTA V, the entire city was developed already. The countryside, probably not. Those missing buildings in the 9F scene are just a bug with the debug tool, or intentional to avoid mapping. In various promotional SS from GTA V, they hid buildings, mountains and characters to avoid mapping or spoiler using this tool. This tool exists, and it's heavily used to create scripted scenes just for the trailer, spawn anything and come with camera tools. Back then Rockstar released a promotional SS showing Chumash beach very populated. They forgot to remove the XYZ coordinates from this tool that appeared on the left in front of a house, which was a huge fail. Search Chumash on GTA Wiki, the official screenshot is there.

We didnt know those parts of the map weren’t done until it was revealed that they werent. Same thing can be said about gta6. Sure the world looked complete in the trailer, but we dont actually know.

Will save you time, it won't be more than $80. Anyone saying it's gonna be beyond that price has no idea what they're talking about. Maybe in 5 years the standard will be $90 or $99 but as of today, standard price for AAA games is $70 and it doesn't matter whether it is GTA 6 or Indian train simulator.

I don’t want it to be like rdr2 like it’s harder to get away with stuff. It’s gta I wanna be able to take multiple bullet shots, my rdo character is lvl 46 and can and take 3 rife shots from an npc before dying. I don’t mind it having features like it but making it harder than 5 seconds to unlock a car it’ll be upsetting but who knows
