Sentry also absorbs solar energy also its a misconception that he emits solar radiation rather he emits light or photokinesis for example red sunlight which wouldn't help superman at all.

Sentry absorbs solar energy too…and can one shot Superman. He’s stronger than avengers thor and silver surfer, both have low multiversal feats. Base Superman doesn’t even have a single universal feat.

Sentry is a very powerful character, and at first it seems that Sentry has more abilities than Superman but in the end nothing that Sentry has guarantees him a victory over Superman. Let me explain, so you don't just see me as a fanboy, although Sentry has similar powers as Superman and extra abilities like matter manipulation and to some extent a reality warper, the problem is that Superman has faced all kinds of enemies throughout its history, enemies that have all kinds of powers. On physical stats like strength, speed, and durability Superman wins hands down, simply because Superman has better displays of physical power than Sentry. Okay Sentry can split Ares in half, a very tough guy ee? Superman cut Doomsday in half. And not just any Doomsday folks, this is new 52 Doomsday, a Doomsday that was much stronger than pre-flashpoint Doomsday, since the previous Doomsday was just a "larva" and this new Doomsday was its mature form. So Doomsday from "Death Of Superman" was just a larva and Doomsday new 52 was his mature form, much stronger and Superman killed him by splitting him in half. This new Doomsday is strong enough to break through the phantom zone that is as big as the multiverse and could also travel between dimensions. In speed Superman crossed the universe in two days bringing back a kidnapped girl at the edge of the universe. And keep in mind that Superman had to make several stops along the way as the girl had to eat and sleep and also Superman had to deal with various aliens that got in his way. So those two days could easily be reduced to one day or less. That makes Superman exceed the speed of light by a ridiculous number of times. Sentry could hardly match something like that. On durability Superman tanked the Big Bang without any difficulty. now..hax? What is the Sentry supposed to do to defeat Superman? the most mentioned is Sentry's matter manipulation, yes, albeit an amazing power Superman has already faced matter manipulation and Superman has emerged victorious. Here they tried to disintegrate Superman at the subatomic level and they did not succeed. Even though it hurt Superman afterwards he got up as if nothing had happened and kept fighting and won. Transmutation of matter? here they tried to turn Superman into salt and failed. When Lex Luthor obtained unlimited power cosmic, it had enough power to destroy the entire reality he tried to disintegrate Superman and failed. So Sentry's matter manipulation wouldn't be a problem for Superman definitely. Superman has accomplished many things throughout his action-adventure filled history, and many of these great achievements most people don't know about, because they don't read Superman comics. So if Sentry's matter manipulation can do almost nothing to Superman then what could Sentry do? fight physically? on this terrain Superman would win without much trouble. reality warper? Superman has a high resistance to reality warper, Dominus is a multiversal level reality warper and Superman defeated him, Time Trapper tried to erase Superman from existence and failed, Mxyztplk tried to erase Superman and failed. So what could he do Sentry? a lot of nothing. Sentry could be good competition for Superman for sure, but in the end Superman will come out on top.

Superman has nothing to permanently keep Sentry down he'll keep on returning as seen with Morgan Le fey and molecule man furthermore Superman was once reality warped onto a docile puppy and transformed by Emperor Joker who Molecue Man easily scales above.

Superman depends on the version, I will use the recent version, rebirth. I’ll be using non sun dipped versions. Rebirth Superman somewhat scales to post crisis as it has SOME of the history (very specific stories) he goes from solar system to multi solar system at his peak without outside amps. Sentry: I will also use the current sentry, merged sentry, who is stronger than the golden sentry and the void combined. and one shot BOB (who had the powers of sentry) to remind you, even normal golden sentry could stalemate a hungry galactus, who is still WELL above thor and surfer, both who have low multiversal+ feats. Sentry stomps. He also has regeneration that Superman could never even damage him.
