We're planning on going through the DOJ Fire training just so we can get a better idea on how fire works. Thanks for understanding we don't do it very often.

after reading some comments Please keep in mind the fire side is brand new to them they have RP cops and criminals for a long time and sometimes something new is nice don't critisize something if your just going to do the same thing over and over again and not try something new.

Coming from a 911 dispatcher, it's awesome you guys play it the way you do. You wait to use the apparatus because GTA V and mods don't let you use hoses(yet). From my experience the dispatch and terminology goes both ways. I don't know what a "tick" is, that's not something we use here. I usually 'tone' out the fire, which alerts all pagers/cell phones/etc. But other local departments (Milwaukee County, WI), have CAD that automatically tells the dispatcher what units are closest and recommends them to respond, so the dispatcher assigns specific units to the call immediately. Often times I'll even hear, "Bat 2, engine 3 responding, take down med 92", letting the dispatcher know that Paramedic Unit 92 can't be staffed because they're going on a fire. I love watching you guys. Even the Officers I work with will sit in the dispatch center because they think it's so great. You know you're doing good when LEO's enjoy watching you.

I'll help. This applies to the area I live in, but it would be rather easy for you to remember. If you're operating from Station 2, Buggs would be chief 2. The first engine out would be engine 2. The next engine would be Engine 2-1 etc. and the ambulance would be Medic 2. Any additional help would be mutual aid. As Jeff said, you gon' learn today.

From the perspective of a firefighter. You definitely run through fire to get to fire. Depends on the heat signiature. Some areas are much hotter than others and for this bugs actually did an alright job. In reality the majority of outside attack Bugs was working on would have been sort of exiguashed and he's right. You need hoses. Several sections. The rest is just... You can't RP the majority of everything else that goes on in an attack on a structure fire. You guys are basically just the volunteer fire fighter that show up for muscle support. well run to be honest.

Also if you want to super Rp as volunteer you would or someone would check back on areas with fires after 2 hours to 4 hours of exiting the area.

Our department uses Code 4. This video was pretty awesome. Even though it wasn't realistic, I loved seeing your perspective on fire and seeing the way you RPed it was hilarious. Keep on keepin on Buggs!

Fire service generally doesn't talk in 10 codes. Plain language according to NIMS (National Incident Management System). When calling for more apparatus, you can call for additional engines (or ladders, or a squad, or whatever specific apparatus you need on scene, or personnel). A TIC is a Thermal Imaging Camera.

This is correct. Avoiding codes ensures no miscommunication or wrong call outs that would otherwise lead to the dispatch of unnecessary units or calling a code that is much more severe than the code you thought you were calling.

I haven't watched the full vid yet but if there isn't a helicopter for the fire team y'all should like add that that would be lit 😉

You should bring a medic truck with y'all on the fires. IRL they have rehab trucks (medics function as that) and for victims.

Oh yes! This is awesome, I really like to se diffrent things on the server :D

For future reference, the "tick" is a tool used to break through walls to check for hot spots.

This is super late but it’s the “tic” which is a thermal imaging camera. It does check for hot spots but all it is is a camera
