There's no way in hell I'd redo the game. I had to replay gta iv once after Xbox360 hard drive corrupted somehow and I cried through it all and it only takes a quarter of the time to beat that game compared to V.

It's funny to me that no one seems to mention, this was Lester's plan. This was literally why he sent you on those missions, to manipulate the stock market so that he could get a massive return on investment. Imagine how absurdly rich he is after all the years of scheming like this, especially with what's likely a near infinitely large investment pool. He probably has enough money to become a world power at this point.

This still works in 2021, but the profit margins have been lowered to stay away from the 2.1B hard limit. You'll still end up with enough funds to buy everything and have a large (~$500M) investment portfolio across all three characters. It kinda depends on how many planes/cars you buy and crash 10 minutes later. The Lester missions are the real Big Score.

you do it on 3 characters so its 6.3 billion dollars

If you choose option C at the end, right after you complete it and you get the money from the big score, dump it all into Augury Insurance. Sleep a couple of times (2-3 times worked for me) and you'll get 100% return, doubling your money from the last heist. This will allow you to start doing these assassination missions with 80 million instead of 40. This way you'll be able to reach the 2.1 billion even if the trades are shittier now

There's an important step not mentioned in here, right after you complete the game, put all of your money into AUG stock, that will double your money to over 80 mil before you do any of the assassination missions.

How long after you invest do you need to sell?

FYI rockstar nerfed the stock market assassinations for next gen consoles. You can only make 1.7 billion. Multi-Target Assassination: DEB - takes 3-4 days, return cap is 62-70% RWC - takes 2-3 days, return cap is 300-340% Vice Assassination: FRT - takes 2-3 days, return cap is 20-25% FAC - takes 4-5 days, return cap is 30-33% Bus Assassination: VAP - takes 7-12 days, return cap is 90-100% Construction Assassination: GCD - takes 3-5 days, return cap is 44-55% Takes lots of saving and quitting and reloading.

The redwood one for me keep saying red

1. do Lester first mission 2. Before killing 4 jurors invest in debonaire ( wait until middle or evening of the next day and then sell ) 3. dump money into redwood ( wait 2 days then sell ) 4. invest in ifruit and then do next mission ( after doing it , immediately sell the shares ) 5. buy facade shares after selling the ifruit shares then sleep for a day or two until the shares are around 30 bucks ) 6. do the bus assassination then wait a short while for the vapid shares to go downhill and buy them, wait for a day or two until it’s 100% return 7. before doing the last assassination dump money into GoldCoast shares ( wait a day or two until 80-90% return on investment)

How much do you make all together

2024 here and they severely nerfed the stock prices compared to what they are in this video. Facade was $470 a share in this video but on ps5 it’s only $6 and only dropped to $4 after the assassination

So if anyone is trying this now. It still works. You just have to sleep a lot more often. For whatever reason, rockstar nerfed the return rates per day. Just keep sleeping and it will eventually hit the amount you're looking for

usually just invested in the rival company with all 3 characters and save scummed until the price went down then loaded my last save and sold. You are double dipping by using both companies it brings a proud tear to my eye.

You should see around 60% return. Me: looking at around 1 percent.

Edwin David they changed the amount you get on current gen

A little tip igs, Michael sleeps for 6 hours, Franklin sleeps for 8, and Trevor sleeps for 12 hours. so if you really want to skip time just sleep as Trevor

People say it doesn’t work with red wood or faced but it does just switch to Trevor and keep sleeping and check the stocks with redwood it may be down for the first few days but after you sleep more the stocks will go up just be patient guys

It's only a spoiler if you don't know that you can choose from 3 options before the final mission. I always choose the 'Deathwish' option and don't really care what would happen if I chose the other two.

There is one mission left that you can make 30% more all you have to do is take a npc that has a broken down car and rush him to the airport to catch his flight and he tells you to invest in tinkle on bawsaq

After you complete the last mission where you have to kill Michael,Trever or You do the death wish whatever choice you take after the mission is completed and you get all your money from the Big score heist, invest in augury insurance and sleep 3 or 4 times and you will get 100 percent return.

Trevor is the absolute most fun character in the game. Deathwish gives you more story anyway.

for anyone still using this, its outdated and you will only get such results on 360/ps3 old releases, just do what he says and sleep for like a week until its as high as possible, save a lot to make sure u are getting the best return, you should end up with around 850-900 million which isnt as cool as 2.1 billion but its not like u could spend it all if u even tried

This is great help but over the years all the numbers have changed. You will get a return but not as high and what used to take one day in game day now might take 5 or more days. Still worth the wait 👍

I'm so glad on the newer versions of the game the stock market actually works and you can make millions in the beginning of the game

Use trevor to sleep, he sleeps for 12 hours where franklin only 8 hours and michael is only 6

All of these still work 100% keep sleeping and checking the stock market after each sleep ... out of nowhere it will drop and then skyrocket... especially the REDWOOD STOCK from the first mission.

On my second play through after many years and I’m actually excited for this! 😂

Disclaimer: You are not guaranteed 2.1 billion the amount varies and depends on how much you start with and how much you get on returns from stocks. Minimum you will get 400 million

when u complete the story invest in Merryweather after getting an email from their CEO then take that guy from the side of the road to the airport and invest in tinkle before picking him up

Here’s a fun fact after that last stock investment you hit the in game limit to the amount of money one could hold

"sleep for one day and sell for 100% return" i slept on day and got a 2.1% return

oliver gracey You kill Trevor or Micheal to give the remaining two characters a bigger share of the Union depository cut, but all three characters will still be receiving millions after the deathwish option.

Great review, only critique is that you include the Lester mission location on the GTA map next time since they are all just Lester Assassination Missions

For people who have already done the Lester missions, they all have to start the game again in order to make money that way.

That was the Worst spoiler warning in history dude.

People who do do this after the missions you have to play or go to sleep for a day for it to work
