Ps3, X360 has tons of issues and its durable is thin paper compared to ps3

Better resolution, better details, better color pallette, better drawing distance, better frame rates…. etc. if someone say ps3 better, probably he is fanboy. I tried two of consoles and xbox 360 provides more quality games.

That's correct. GTA 5 performs a tiny bit better on the Xbox 360. But nothing dramatic. The PS3 version is still decent

The main difference is that on the PS3 the cars are more detailed with softer edges of their polygons, while the Xbox 360 has a more stable FPS. The rest is pretty much the same

Fun fact: The PS3 version is the only version of the game that isn’t a port. It was the platform that Rockstar programmed the game on first, so it was given slightly more priority than the 360 version. This means that the 360 version is a port of the PS3 build. I can confirm this by looking at the early gameplay previews of the game before it’s official release. Most if not all of the footage that was shown was recorded from the PS3 version. Of course, since the 360 version was a port of the PS3 version, some changes had to be made due to the game being so integrated to the PS3’s custom design/architecture. For instance, in the 360 version, most of the high-resolution assets seen in the PS3 version were slightly compressed/lowered in quality, presumably because the DVDs couldn’t stream data as efficiently or hold as much data compared to a Blu-ray (which the PS3 uses). Some 3D models in the 360 version are also pixelated (e.g. wheels), and since the 360 was incapable of outputting a true 7.1 audio signal, the sound output isn’t quite up to par as the PS3 version. On the bright side, the 360 version has fewer frame rate dips in many instances assumedly because the RAM that the 360 uses isn’t shared unlike the PS3 where the RAM is spilt into two which made the hardware more complicated to program for. This is mostly the reason why Rockstar prioritized the PS3 for GTA V’s development because they wanted to make sure that the game is identical across both versions because their earlier projects like GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption had noticeable differences between the two versions since Rockstar used the 360 as the base and then ported the games to the more complex PS3 hardware.

You are 100% right, thanks for the detailed explanation. Rockstar did a mighty good job at optimizing GTA 5 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Considering how big and complex the game is it's almost a miracle it's even able to run on the PS3 and 360.

Seems to be a burnout 3 situation where while the xbox and ps2 versions were often developed in tandem, it was mostly designed with ps2’s strengths like fillrate in mind with sparks and bloom effects, and they made up elsewhere on xbox by taking advantage of the gpu with mipmapping, water shaders and lighting Although in that case the system it was ported to (Xbox) was the more powerful system, unlike here

Skvala, I cant believe that we are stuck with the same number of buttons since the first dualshock. I have an idea of one or two function buttons that in combine with dpad directions or face buttons would give you additional functions. Just imagine - 8 or even 16 additional functions.

@@SkvalaGaming I would love to see counter strike or valorant on consoles. Not controller version but normal mouse and keyboard. I hate that companies do not allow games that dont have controller support. Just make sure people are aware and let them play. Dont get me wrong, I still prefer playing on a controller but CS GO or Valorant should be played on mnk.

@@SkvalaGaming i'm 35 and console owner from a year. Before that I hold a PS2 gamepad for a few minutes and was playing on SNES in early 90s. But still I quickily adapted to console fps. Maybe mnk is way more precise but controller is way more comfortable.

I personally own a 360 and I must say that it is a beast for its hardware. Its a little monster. I can say that because one time I went to military area in GTA 5 and when so many soldiers and tanks surrounded me and started firing on me, it was lagging a bit but it was completely playable.

I don't see difference between the 360 and my PS3, sure both have a huge difference between theirs hardwares but nothing incredible. yeah no matter of what version you playing you better get an ps4/5 or xbox one/seires x/s for the best gta v expeirence from exprience they have the best versions of online and still supported by rockstar and you will have better preformance on next gen even more or current gen so think about it if you played gta v ever on those consoles then you know what i mean

In short, yes

They both have 512mb of ram. But the ps3 is split into 256mb of ram for the system and 256mb for the graphics. In contrast the Xbox 360 has 512mb of unified ram. Which can be divided in any shape or form as needed. So With that being said. When it comes to playing different titles. The Xbox 360 is far more versatile and can handle any game that the ps3 can and can handle many more games that the ps3 can not. The ps3 is limited due to this reason. Xbox 360 is the stronger more capable console.

Really I don’t care about the consoles so much. It’s the controllers. Playstation made a light weight controller with logical button placements, non-invasive triggers and it’s symmetrical. Both hands hold the controller in the exact same way. The controller is slightly smaller than the xbox controller which makes all the difference. People with small hands and large hands can use a playstation controller comfortably but if your hands are smaller than average it feels really awful holding an xbox controller. I cannot understand why xbox put the joysticks where they are or why the triggers stick out so much. Ugh

the Wired 360 controller is way lighter than the wireless (the batteries are heavy) I too prefer theX360 controller, even overthe more recent gens it's all about the softer curves of it... but damn it slides of couches and beds 😂

There are some benefits of the PS3 version though you don't need to be online to save your game on Xbox 360 have to be on cloud storage to save anything For most games back in the mid to late 2000s and early 2010s most of the games looked better on xbox360 because it was easier for developers to program for the xbox360 and on paper the xbox360 had the better graphics chip makes most games easier to program

I prefer the 360

Simple xbox 360 is the best in graphics and does look a bit shaper compared to the ps3, however the ps3 is the only edition of the game that runs on a blueray disc compared to the xbox 360 that has two discs that are cd now at the time the ps3 had a bundle with gta v on launch day but however the 360 still may be freezing in gta v because it is very demanding for the console and i played both versions in online and singleplayer in the past but the ps3 was less likely to freeze compared to the 360 which was sooo anoying and i used to hate that freeze on 360 alot so if we talking graphics sure 360 is better but if we are talking performance during a 40 minute gameplay then ps3 is less likely to freeze compared to xbox 360 which at 40 mintues it froze even in online alot

And to top it up i played the xbox one and ps4 and pc versions of gta v and out of next gen the ps5 version too from my experience gta v is a masterpiece of a game no matter how you play it or whatever console you are on and it is still my favorite game to date but i did complete it 100% on ps5 pc and xbox one and 360 since the ps3 was not mine but my nephew's at the time and the ps4 of a great friend i used to play with when i visited him so yeah i did get alot of time on these different platforms but it sure was fun playing and i am waiting to see what gta 6 will be about

i don't think so and if to be honest with you wait for rockstar to reveal gta 6 and then it will be on the topic but no it will be a next gen only game since we are in a next gen era now so it could come out in 2025 or 2026 but revealed in maybe in 2024 but not before the second half the year but that is my opinion so i have no idea really i don't work at R* so i have no idea what this game will be about and it is better to wait for gta 6 to come out to listen to leaks that could either be mostly but you never know anyway that is my opinion on the topic i am in no means Tez fun 2 so maybe ask him for info but even if he knows stuff which i sure he does you will never know the stuff he knows he has a sources that work at rockstar so i have no idea what he knows or not @@SkvalaGaming

maybe 360 is more powerful but the ps3 is better in terms of not freezing so if you take bf4 that game froze alot on 360 and ps3 but the ps3 version in that game was still freezing alot but in gta v it is a very different case xbox 360 froze alot in game more than ps3 and i played both for a while but still now i am on ps5 so this is kind out of topic really since the main versions are ps5 xbox series x/s for the next gen ports of gta v

@@Ofek-Tzukduian The cell processor in PS3 made PS3 more powerful than Xbox 36p but due to it's complex architecture developers had a hard time to develop games for it on the other hand Xbox 360 was not so powerful but making games for it was easy

@@SkvalaGaming yeah i knew it becuase they mention that it should run on the usb stick that 16gb or ram on the 360 compared to the hard drive of the 360 so i knew about it at the time but still i had the game installed on the local hardrive so maybe that is why it happened to me anyway about the ps3 and it's hardware which at the time was the most best but however the xbox 360 had a better gpu than the ps3 and in most games without a Doubt that the ps3 was having a hard time running games do to the the hardware of the ps3 was hard to develop games on so the 360 was a better in the game red dead redemption was running much better on the 360 than the ps3 however the ps3 was harder to develop the game on ps3 so it did have a very lower Resolution for the ps3 but anyway as gta v was more better in my opinion on the ps3 still because from the disc edition you couldn't get the textutre streaming bug like on the 360 because it was running much better in that regard but the 360 was holding much more fps than the ps3 on certain senarios anyway the ps5 is fine for me since i only play on ps5

In india u can get xbox 360 for as low as 50 dollars

PS3 better textures. 360 better colour, saturation & fps. However, they both look fantastic. What is truly remarkable is that you can pick both these consoles up for around $50 and this game up for $5-10 and get this level of a gaming experience at that price point.
