I feel like it’s because people only choose to recognize him as trevor , even resorting to just calling him trevor. I’ve looked at his Instagram as well and he seems to be a much more tranquil person. “I just wanna hug everyone, but people just want me to scream at them” I’d get tired of that too tbh.

He’s still a human being, not a character, and definitely the complete opposite of trevor. don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he’s handled his fans in the best way but he probably wouldn’t resent the character so much if people treated him better, especially since he’s done more since then. Like I said people just want him to scream at them and such when he’s a much more tranquil person at heart. There are so much more polite ways to show admiration for someone’s work as a character.

45:02 This was proven with Ray Liotta who voiced GTA Vice City. He had conflict with Rockstar and wouldn’t come back in to record more lines during the game’s development. Which left the voice line bank a little wanting. Both Ray and Dan/Sam have stated their feelings about their beefs publicly. He’s absolutely right, stick with no namers - less drama, more time = more lines, less scheduling impacts.

I don’t know if it’s arrogance/high sense of self or underlying disappointment that his most famous role is in a video game from 10 years ago. What I can’t agree with is him willingly joining Cameo and then ripping off his paying fans who request specific GTA V lines.

So great to see Ned and Solo on the podcast. They are some of my favorite characters in GTA and they are a massive part of my life. I've been playing GTA 5 since 2013 when I was 10. Now I'm 20 and we just got a GTA 6 official announcment. It's sad to see the gta 5 era start to come to an end because it has been amazing ❤ I hope we get to see them in GTA 6

Absolutely love these guys. They've always stayed true to the community and to the game that gave them the platform they have today. Its not often you see that these days. I think Rockstar would be making a real bad decision not having them in the next installment of grand theft auto. Ned is able to enter his character as Michael so effortlessly when doing interviews like this and its awesome. All the power to them and I hope they continue to progress their careers in whatever direction they choose in the future. Much love!

I agree, and pretty much everyone wants them to be in GTA 6, so Rockstar would definitely be making a bad decision to not include them. they’re the largest video game characters of our time, and their ability to get into character so naturally after all this time is truly impressive. All we can really do is wish for the best

I get why Steven doesn't want to be associated with Trevor because some people straight up call him Trevor when they meet him but he's such a great actor that people totally forget Trevor is a made up character and Trevor steals the show every single time he appears in the game, Steven is loved by fans all over the world and he should embrace it like Ned and Shawn

The 2yr late statement was interesting considering he already said the game was delayed by Covid by at least 2yrs. And what do you know? Vice city was released 20yrs ago almost 2yrs ago. Seems like a date rockstar was looking forward to have something out the oven by then.

On a real note though, Idk why people think these guys would know anything about GTA 6 let alone be in it. Rockstar would never let anyone know the scoop on their next projects to people who aren't involved, and they never re use main cast, at the very most GTA 6 might have referrences to them just like GTA V has referrences to Niko and GTA IV but I doubt they would have actual cameos.
