I'm so glad that you talk about the mental side of having acne. The first impression you have on people is important, and I don't care if people say that's shallow (well, it is), but whether you like it or not, it matters. The first thing they notice about you, even before you speak, may be your beautiful smile or your captivating eyes, or whatever, but when you have acne, it takes it all away. I believe that most people know that acne is not the result of bad hygiene in most cases, and won't offer their all-so-enlightening advice on washing your face both morning and evening, wearing spf, etc. But still, I don't want people to notice acne when they first look at me. My skin was bad 2 years ago, now it's better, but not entirely clear, and I when get a pimple here and there around the time of my period or when the seasons are changing, an irrational part of me freaks out. I know it'll go away in up to 3 days, and it's really not that bad, but I still feel that way. Don't judge yourself, your fears are valid.

This is the most relatable comment I’ve read. It’s rough, whether you want it or not, its the first impression and even if you try not to care it matters. It’s showing up right there, always. When you look in the mirror, when you open your phone camera. Acne is normal and we all go though it, severe acne is something else

Un tip: mi dermatóloga me dijo que el té de manzanilla desinflama los granitos, preparas el té y después cuando este frío con un algodón o gasa lo pones en el granito. Si funciona la verdad te lo desinflama mucho. ❤ Espero le sirva!!

I've had so many terrible breakouts before as well and it honestly takes such a hard hit to your self esteem, and you have no idea how relieved I am to hear you be vulnerable about your own experiences with it.
