My honest advice for anyone reading this who is scared about school: 1. Don't feel like your life is over because of whatever drama is going on. It's not gonna matter and it's a pointless waste of time and energy. 2. Do/give your absolute best - in ALL areas of school/friendships/and life in general. If you know you did your best, you'll have very few regrets. (Hey that kinda rhymed lol) 3. Don't worry about being popular. Your validation and self worth should never be based on the approval/opinions of others or your social status. You're worth more than that!! 4. Be the friend you would like to have for yourself. And also surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you. You are what you attract. 5. Don't get so worked up that you do/say things you'll regret over things that won't matter. Know what you believe and stand firm on it. Save the energy for what is really important to you. 6. Be completely and totally your true, 100% authentic self from the start. There's no point in letting others love you for some fake, off-brand version of yourself. (Plus I can tell you from experience, trying to keep up a false appearance for others is exhausting and totally not worth it!!) 7. Don't give into the peer pressure to do things that you know will hurt you or those around you. Your health and your future are too great a cost. 8. Remember that nobody's perfect. Not you, your parents, your teachers, your classmates, no one. So when you're upset or disappointed in someone (yes, even yourself) just remember that we ALL make mistakes. So don't be to hard on whoever it is. 9. When life gets tough, just remember that the troubles in your life are temporary. You'll get through this. Things WILL get better, I promise!! 10. Enjoy yourself and the high school experience! It goes by really fast, so make the most of it!!
