It is a lovely song about the Russian conflict in Afghanistan. I think the author is saying how much time he has left, mentions the belief about the cuckoo, determining it. I am just using the translation, I love the way Russians express themselves through their songs and poetry.❤🌹😢

If you like Kaskad you should try out ВИА Контраст. They're a really underrated band. Internationalist Diaries has all their songs remastered.

Wow, you deserve more attention, for this you need to get at least 250,000 views. I agree that this is the best version of this song and its just beautifal, high quality good clips and song, all combined made a masterpiece.

The lyrics in 3:41 is wrong, it should be "Im privychny" not "Im znakomy" and I am also believed it is "Sil svoikh" not "Dney svoikh", still I am glad to have found the 1984 version of the "Kukushka". Thank you for the 1984 version

@alyx3154 Its a russian movie "Afghan Breakdown" or "Афганский излом" in Russian. Wonderful movie, but i don't know if there's translated version of it yet.
