Grune was always my favorite character from the show. Got him in my pile of loot.

I never had any of the old figures, but I did enjoy the cartoon. I don't know about this line. I don't have any, but I may get a few. This really highlights my biggest issue with Super 7, and that is quality control. I can look past some issues on a $20-$25 figure, but for $50, I expect a bit more.

For your Tygra figure, I would recommend using a blue elbow pad from an old WWF Jakks Kurt Angle figure from 2000 to put on Tygra's right arm. Super7 missed his elbow pad.

Grune is one of my favourite characters from Thundercats. I got this figure along with Tygra and Mumm-Ra The Ever-Living on Saturday morning.

@Ali J I believe season 3 if my memory serves me right aired on Saturday mornings which was actually season 2 split into 2 seasons! Thundercat's Ho! Which was a 5 part story was originally intended for the big screen but was canned due to the box office failure of The Transformers movie from 1986. I guess the death of Optimus Prime traumatized children?

@@SuperMarioBrosIII I'm in the UK so it was a little different. We did get Thundercats on Saturday mornings but they were season 1 episodes. Thundercats Ho! was called Thundercats Ho! The Movie over here. It went straight to VHS and aired on TV. I don't think they broadcast the later episodes in the UK for some reason. I've seen them all now because I've got the dvds. Thundercats dvds sold very well in the UK so we got every volume which meant that we got every episode. The four volumes got rolled into one set later on. Thundercats Ho! The Movie was one of my favourites as a kid. I had some VHS tapes including that one. The Saturday morning episodes started airing before I was born but there were re-runs and I caught the back end of the Thundercats run on UK tv. Apparently it started airing here in 1987. I was born in 1988 but the show was still airing in the early 90's. The UK comics and annuals were still around too. Towards the end, it would show on tv sporadically instead of it's regular slot. It then disappeared. The VHS tapes and LJN figures were still in UK stores in the early 90's also. I think the mid 90's was when it all started to disappear. Thundercats was an instant favourite for me. Probably the first show I was mad on before other stuff came. I have to say, I think it has aged pretty well in comparison to some of the other 80's cartoons. You're probably right about the Optimus Prime thing but Thundercats Ho! deserved a cinematic release because it was awesome. I do like the 1986 Transformers movie and the G.I. Joe one but I definitely preferred Thundercats Ho!

@@Super1866 Wow some differences there in regards to the show and the toyline overseas wow they still had the original LJN toys in the stores in UK in the early 90's? Over here in the US the LJN Thundercats toyline as well as the cartoon was pretty much over by 1988. Man you couldn't find anything Thundercat's related by 1989 except maybe a coloring book LOL! Reruns of the cartoon yes were on cable tv around or until 1990 and that was it! The DVD's of the cartoon are popular here and are now out of print and very expensive on the after market Ebay etc. Nice chatting with you and take care!

@@Super1866 Thundercats were also known as Cosmo-Cats in some countries and I believe an LP of the score was issued as I've seen pictures. Sadly the only piece of Thundercats music to be issued was Cheetara's theme on a children's cassette now long out of print and very hard to find! You'd think WB would finally release the score from the 80's cartoon on CD or CD's as there is a high demand for Benard's Hoffers score to be released. I know some of the score has leaked online and is even here on KZread but an official release has not happened!? Something about some of the score from later seasons is lost or can't be located. I know the score for the 2012 series got a two disc release! Well maybe someday?

@@SuperMarioBrosIII Likewise bro. Yeah, I became an instant fan but it didn't stick around for long. I didn't know why at the time but I do now. I thought it was a brand new show but it wasn't. I loved the LJN toys. I used to get them from a store called Woolworths, which no longer exists. You can still get the complete collection of Thundercats on dvd over here.

My older brother had a Grune figure, I never knew what show or toy line he came from (he might have). I remember using him as a bad guy when we played with our Masters of the Universe toys. So yeah, I guess Grune was collectively the only Thundercats toy we had.

I agree with you @kyle about the articulation and displaying. I like the pose-ability but ultimately he’s going to be on display so he needs to look good.

I am really hoping for the Lunataks to eventually be released-they were such a cool, unique group of villains. I actually liked them better than the evil mutants.
