Arin being surprised that Dan wants to play is a weird reminder that they've been doing this *gaming* channel for like 10 years and one of them is just there to hang out for most of that.

It's awesome when the same clip plays out completely different on another comp because they don't edit it at the same point as everyone else

It's really funny to hear Dan say that he appreciates playing retro games so he doesn't seem useless at video games in between clips of Arin getting completely and utterly destroyed in the first level of Doom 2. I don't think he has much to worry about.

Watching Arin play Doom 2 with auto-run off shaved years off of my life. I know it's being a pedantic gamer boy, but c'mon, it's like watching someone play Super Mario Bros without holding B to run faster and then watching them whine about the game being too hard.

Gantlet is an old spelling of gauntlet, but used to signify the trial, not the armoured glove. IE: To run the gantlet.

It's funny because as someone who played Dark Souls 1 and 3 before Elden Ring I never really thought to use the jump attack, except maybe against the few flying enemies in the game. Never really seemed worth using most other times.

26:26 Dan: "Be careful when you go out; Im almost certain I saw a guy out in the hall before" Arin: Goes out and gets immediately ambushed by a shotgun guy, panics, misses a bunch, gets shot a bunch Arin: "Oh my god!" Dan: "Yeah... that's the guy I saw..." I love this pattern. Its my favourite part of Game Grumps.

16:41 you are very much mistaken Daniel xD i clap and smile when he succeeds, but Arin's ability to fail so spectacularly is what keeps me coming back.

16:26 is tripping me out because it's so fucking close to a moment they had playing sonic 1 and i watched that playthrough recently, i genuinely thought somehow the footage was edited to have the sonic 1 dialogue over the doom gameplay

The real challenge is in trying to figure out what the theme of the compilation is, if the title doesn't specifically say "Ghoul Grumps".
