btw, you can say what target you want to focus with serpent wards, just by right clicking on target when serpents are selected

HI Grubby ! I'm a 4v4 RT player and I would like to go 1v1 with Reforged ( I played some Sc2 as well 1v1 Zerg and was Diamond league 50-50 WR pretty bad but had a lot of fun) I really hesitate between Orc and Undead for the main race. What do you think would be best for a 1v1 WC3 Newbie considering the matchups ? Great content as always by the way !

Note, Grubby - for the guides themselves, the build, you should skip all the acronyms, new people won't know them regardless and it's just confusing for them.

I've been addicted for so long. I even brought my laptop to Iraq in 2003 and played this game nightly. (rare to see a laptop there in 03)

Its so crazy how wc & sc can be so similar yet so different at the same time.

Back in the really old days before WarCraft III, they were actually fairly similar, with StarCraft 1 being like a more advanced development of WarCraft II (in fact, with the first Alpha, they even used the WarCraft II engine, but quickly realized this wasn't going to cut it).

Love how you’re casually beating that guy while calmly explaining everything lol. Then his surprise strategy didn’t have any effect

Hey Grubby! First of all thank you for all these years of fun and inspiration mate! Love you! Secondly, regarding the grouping when you play raiders / casters... as a relative noob0r here is what I found helped me (just in case others also find it convenient and of course feel free to say it is a stupid idea XD) Group 1 -> Heroes + grunts + casters (assuming you have only 1 caster type, e.g. just walkers...) Group 2 -> raiders + kodo + head hunters Group 3 -> casters only (the same casters you have in group 1) This way it is easier to move the folks around the map, i.e. you do 1 attack move or just move and 2 attack move or move and they all go where you want them... and at the same time you get to easily use ensnare with group 2 and the caster abilities with 3 when in battle etc. As a lot of noobs out there... I struggle with multiple keys / teams so I have found this approach to help me out. Finally I have my barracks on Group 4, beastiary and tauren totem (or lodge) on 5 and I have town hall on 8 and altar on 9 (helps to revive the hero if he dies and you are still in battle) As you get a bit better and get used to micro, you can hand pick units in a battle situation... but that takes a bit of practice.

I love that the second guy got demolished just because he was so agressive

Hey Grubby, I've been watching your videos for more than a year now, I used to play WC3 when I was younger and Reforged made me want to play it again but I was a bit put off by the whole Reforged situation. I'm thinking of actually giving it a shot now, is it still possible for a newbie to pick up the game now, and is this particular guide (I'd like to play Orcs) still viable ?

Also utilize speed scroll whenever possible. It's simply one of the most OP consumable item in the game.

Ladder stresses me out :D But it's nice to have a build order to practise. I have a hard time attacking and microing all the units in fights though. Espacially against Human with heavy ranged and priests/sorcs. Spirit walkers need to use spirit links while Raiders need to ensnare and shit. And at the same time trying to macro back home. :D Stressfull :D

How do you select certain buildings to group them by not just dragging the leftclick mouse button?

Do you never go above 50/60 food and dont you build tauren later on? Cause arent tauren pretty strong?

I want to start wc3 now. Is there a Chance to meet Players who are new too? Or are there only old Veterans?

How suitable is this build (slightly modified if needed) for high elo games? Like Master/Grand Master. Thanks for the answer :)

Wow. he sacrificed all Windriders for one kodo, but Grubby had another one... Btw: I always built 1 more peon for 17/20. Thus I don't build another burrow so fast, but I stop producing after starting a Grunt. Then I get another burrow after first Grunt. 2 more Grunts and fill the rest up with Peons to 30/30 and then start T2 and while T2 upgr, built 1 more burrow and a warmill. I always felt it wasn't that good but it wasn't that bad either. Since I had that built I was talking about, I never had lumber problems. But before I made that, I always had too few lumber...

Is it possible that you put all the build order pictures somewhere easily accessible (imgur for example)?

you may find this funny but I actually watch some of this in slow motion to get a better idea of what you are doing sometimes cause you play so fast. Don't get me wrong the build order notes are super helpful, but you are such an advanced player I have to slow down the footage to see the small micro plays that you do to better understand them.

can we make TC first or blademaster ? and who is the stronger in which situation ?

I've been watching his streams and many tournaments of pro players on back2warcraft and I've never seen a TC first. It's always either blademaster or Farseer. Apparently their best for the early game creeping, scouting and harassing. TC is almost always second or third from what I've seen (more so third, because most players would vouch for shadow hunter second due to his heal wave ability). As far as who is stronger, they both have their strengths, but again from what I've seen, TC is definitely the powerhouse. His war stomps are ridiculous when used correctly and his aura ability makes for faster army movement and attack speed. If you aren't already doing so, you should also watch some other orc pro players like Lyn, Fly100%, Focus and Infi (sometimes).

The only thing I have with these builds is some lack of description, like the beginning "train 2 peons", and you describe what the first and second new peon should do, but then you tell what the new THIRD peon should do, but you only told me to train 2 peons, so now the food is on an offset of 1, which becomes more complicated, when the hero is trained, and I dont know where I should be on the build, 'cause I'm not on either 10/20, nor 16/20, I'm at 13/20. Im totally new at the game, but I ran into likewise problems with the human guide.

you didn't even follow the first portion of the build lol, you took a 2nd peon off gold to build burrow.

so i just need 300apm. i see
