I have the original. That is one of my favorites.The stickiness in the legs happens over time. My doll is fine but then she wasn't kept in the box.

I have both the original and the repro (plus Whitney and Ken) and I can definitely say the hair of the original are much more and better and the ones of the repro are a bit weird, as well the plastic of her arms. The face too is quite different from the original one, but the best in my opinion is Whitney! 💙 Btw ur right, the look of this barbie it's 80's even if she came out in 1991. P.S. I think u would like Ken from this line because he has rooted hair.

I think the original dolls were made better than the remakes. I am not hip on the remade dolls. The clothes back then were made very well and lasted years unlike most of the unhemmed doll clothes Mattel sells now. Thank god the Looks doll clothes are made well, bring back Fashion Fever and Fashion Avenue quality clothes. She is pretty and i love the older stuff, they were made in a different era. She's prettier than the new remade one.

Love the 80’s colors! Her hair reminds me of the Rapunzel doll from their fairy tale collection, aside from the “crimps”. I always loved Barbie’s earrings. 🥰💗

She was wearing a blue version of Barbie's dress.I don't think I agree with remakes of dolls or movies. Looking forward to the next video.

YAYYYYYY!!! More 'retro' Barbies! 😃 (Even though it's a repro .... But again, I'll still take that! LOL 😜) At least it's an iconic one! As you said, the 'bestselling Barbie of all time.' Yeah, I definitely think that Mattel used a different rubbery vinyl for the repro's legs (they are mostly manufactured in different countries now to the originals, so that makes sense!) but I find the 'click-click' mechanism is usually not as 'snappy' in the repros .... and ah yes... those robotic 'karate chop' arms of the Superstar era! I never thought they were as graceful as the original straight arms, (The late 60's/70's 'Mexico' produced arms with the slender, graceful hands with one turned a little more to the side were my favourites,) I remember when I bought my first 'real' Barbie as a kid, I was so disappointed that those bent Karate Chop arms didn't also straighten... Isn't that Pucci-ish print dress SO early 90's retro cool? (Remember when that all came back around that time? I had just started my fashion career back then and they were everywhere! Totally hair actually came out in 1991/92, I think.) ..... OOOOHHHH 'Day-To-Night' was the last Barbie doll I bought as a kid! So quintessentially 80's!!!! Can't wait for that one! and yes, 2016 DOES seem like yesterday! Where has the time gone? .... Oh and I DEFINITELY think 'bigger is better!' (Are we still talking about doll accessories, though? LOL 😜😜😜)

Noo what you read was only regarding the my first barbie back in the day. Sadly this is now playline for mattel for like 20 plus dollars Little girls who buy a Barbie's no longer get the imagination in the Glam that we once had sure we get diversity with the facemolds. That's about it, Barbie. Barbie has truly lost its glamor. Its style you can't bend the legs anymore. You only can get that with made to move barbies. Which look absolutely ugly? I have plenty of them. I'm a collector. The og totally hair came with a tube a of depth styling gel I can recall actually using The gel on a desperate hair day getting ready for school haha wish I still had my og totally hair barbie and all my other dolls my jem dolls esp

I have some of the last bendable legs barbies from the butterfly art barbie collection, thier legs are fine theve been unbloxed since I got them back in 98 on clearance at walmart lol
