I know it's only a sitcom, but Junior had the most honest and realistic, relatable response. Personally I can't take how so often these shows depict young people as having life completly figured out. A couple of decades of job losses, deaths, medical issues, the plans you made at 20 get modified really fast🙂💚

Yea good point but tbh that girl Slick was accurate for a freshman at their first orientation cuz most of them be so lit they can't even remember applying to college especially at these big names universities!

That's so true.. sometimes I wish I could turn back time and am only in my late twenties. Every college kid on tv always look so well put together even Luca's sister tlking about saving democracy. Who gave a crap about that in college!? I was lucky if I could get out of bed on time for early morning classes. They were the worst

Plus since black ish, the plot treats bad junior. It reminds me all the bullying ross got in friends. Or all the bullying leonard got from penny in TBBT.

Só true, I had a plan for my life and before I even turned 20 had to flee from my country because we were in danger, had to move to a country that I had no chance in ever making it in stay there for a year until we can go somewhere else and 20 years old next year and still not in college yet. Funny how life has different plans for us

The fact that they were looking at Junior after his response shows you that it's actually the reality of some people in college and that is perfectly fine. I don't get why they were looking at him with bewildered looks. He was honest and so relatable in comparison to some of their generic answers lol

Hold up, so when Junior gives a completely honest and understandable answer, everyone gives him the nasty eye. But when the football guy says he's only there to play and get girls, they cool with that? Lol

Juniors character development has been fun to see lol. He seems grounded here and his past experiences have evened out the rough edges. Also, very comfortable in his own skin

Andre Johnson Junior is the most earnest and genuine guy you'll ever find. He lives his truth, an unfiltered man in a covered up world.

I don't think that's oversharing at all. Junior was honest. Everyone else was on their first go of college and Junior has been through a whole saga, his viewpoint is just different lol.

I don't think this show realizes more college kids are like Junior than the rest of those characters. God they scare the life out of me. The judemental vibe seeping out of them.

Junior is an old soul who has experienced alot of sh*t @ his age. He's the best of the lot. His peers are rather generic.

Junior is my favorite character he is very honest and very relatable and I’m going to college in august so that can actually relate to how I’m gon be when I go to campus 💯

I’m glad that Junior is in Grown-ish he’s been having a hard time since he dropped out of university his girlfriend dumped him because Long distant relationship was pretty hard but now I’m glad he got a second chance to come to university and get his degree I’m glad he’s making new friends and I’m glad that Aaron and Doug are the new teachers in Call U University and don’t worry about Zoe’s coming back to New York continuing her new chapter is it pretty hard when she she was not ready to say goodbye but her brother told her to it’s time to get on with your new life and don’t worry about her and Aaron they’re going to continue doing long-distance relationship

I am looking forward to Junior's college experience. Despite the criticisms of Zoey. Junior and Zoey are basically the same person. They are middle class Black kids floating through life trying to figure it out with no pressure because they have a financial safety net in their parents. Jack and Diane are the same.

I love junior cuz he’s basically me A failure and dropout who is still moving forward and trying to get his shit together
