this TV shows was introduced to China around 1995, and it is absolutely beloved by my generation. We saw what a typical american family look like, the culture, the different way of educating kids. Everything was interesting to us. I watched it over and over again during the summer holidays until i move to Canada. Good to see them to sit together again. Just love this "family". I was quite sad when the show ended.....

I mean, the dude dropped dead in the middle of playing hockey...if that ain't "peak Canadian," I dunno what is. Maybe dying while playing hockey and enjoying a nice, cold bottle of Labatt's at the same time, you can't get much more Canadian than that.

He and his wife seem to be as solid as ever, and they have raised 6 children, several of them adopted and from different ethnic backgrounds. Good for him👍🏼

@Ac711 NO KIRK TURNED COMPLETELY AWAY FROM ALL OF YAHOSHUA TEACHINGS AS YAHOSHUA IS "THE WORD" GOD THE SECOND PERSON OF THE ELOHIM THE ONE THAT SPEAKS GOD THE FIRST PERSONS EVERY WILL--WANT. "THE WORD" WAS SENT DOWN FROM HEAVEN TO FULFILL THE PROPHECY AS WAS BE MADE FLESH AND IS THE PROMISED MESSIAH--CHRIST--ANOINTED ONE THAT WAS PROPHESIED OF FOR THE JEWS AND ALL GENTILES. KIRK HAS MADE UP HIS OWN FALSE TEACHINGS AND HAS TURNED SOOOO MANY PEOPLE FROM YAHOSHUA'S TEACHINGS AND HAS THEM FOLLOWING--BELIEVING IN KIRK'S OWN CREATED NEW FALSE TEACHING THAT HE HAS IMPLEMENTED BITS AND PART OF OTHER PAGAN BELIEFS TO ONE BELIEF. CHRISTIAN'S ARE NOT 'RELIGIOUS' AS EL SHADDAI--GOD ALMIGHTY, YAHSOSHUA, AND THE RUACH HOKADESH--THE HOLY SPIRIT THE ELOHIM' ARE NOT A RELIGION. A PERSON WHO COMPLETELY FOLLOWS DISCIPLE OF THE ONLY SAVIOUR FOR THE WORLD IS NOT A RELIGIOUS A AS WE ARE NOT OF ANY OF SATAN'S RELIGIONS AS OF 1 EXAMPLE BEING THE RELIGION CATHOLICISM IS SATAN'S THEY NONE OF THEM ARE A CHILD OF GOD ALMIGHTY.

Say what you will about Kirk, but I must say that I have total respect for him. Yeah, I'm a Christian, and I don't agree with everything he says or does, but then again, nobody agrees with everybody all the time. I do honestly think he's a good person with a good, kind heart and good intentions. I think he catches a lot of flack from people because he's not afraid of speaking his mind and expressing his beliefs, which are good things. As a fellow Christian, we need more people like him in the world. Maybe things wouldn't be in the state they are in right now with all the wars and people killing others if we had more people like him. I know I will probably be mocked and made fun of for this post, but I don't care. I've had too many things happen in my life for me to not believe there is a God. I know some will question how I can believe in something I can't see, but I will leave you with this thought: You can't see air, but you know it's there because you're breathing. Same for

Kirk Cameron's latest bigoted and hateful remarks on "The Piers Morgan Show" about gays finally went so far over the line that at least two of the other cast members in the show "Growing Pains" felt obliged to speak up. Tracey Gold's comment made what she thought on the subject very clear: "I'm a strong supporter of the #LGBT community, and I believe in equal rights for all. #NOH8 #LOVE." She, also, posted a photo of herself with "NO H8" emblazoned on her cheek.

He said it was "unnatural" and "detrimental and destructive" to society. None of that is false. It is NOT natural. Stick the male end of an electrical cord to another male end and see what happens. Nothing. Same as with humans. Two males cannot make a child. Two females cannot make a child. Because...it's NOT NATURAL. Not having children DECREASES population - ding ding ding - which is "detrimental and destructive" to society. So...what Kirk said is true. Just goes against what you THINK is true. But...FACTS don't care about your OPINION. No matter how hard you stomp your feet.

Yes, he's a Christian of the disapproving, prudish, abstemious type, isn't he? Perhaps there's a backlash from some who assessed Kirk Cameron on his 'pretty boy' looks and consequently attributed certain characteristics based on that. He's certainly entitled to his views. I don't know why Christian absolutists have a woody for homosexuality. Why such a bee in the bonnet. Anyway, I'm in Australia and I sure enjoyed watching Growing Pains on tv about 1987-8.

After all, you're just 1 person out of 6 billion. An even smaller minority than gays. You seem to think that a majority oppressing a minority is okay. Do you not see your lack of morals? I follow Ashley Johnson (who played Chrissy Seaver) on Twitter. I started going through all the follows one time and found that all the cast follows each other and many guests that were on the show, including Julie Mccullough........ they all follow each other, except for Kirk that is. He follows none of them and they don't follow him. Its just kind of weird to (despite the chumminess they act here) just cut out that large part of your life. I mean Ashley was just a kid on the show and wasn't on for nearly as long as the others, yet still keeps in touch with them all.

They are all trying to keep things professional and also come to a friendly understanding at the same time. I believe that they are friendly to him and he is friendly to them back, but Kirk's views don't mesh well with the others, so it's best to keep a certain distance from him. Doesn't mean they hate him, but sometimes it's best to keep some people at a distance in order to maintain a certain level of friendliness towards them.

They recently were on Kathie Lee and Hoda playing a game with his sister Candace and Jodie Sweetin. He was one of the first to tweet about Alan's death and wished Joanna good wishes during her cancer struggle. Just because he doesn't follow them on Twitter doesn't mean they don't keep in touch. They were all at Alan's funeral as well.

Mike Seaver was a trouble-making teen who often disobeyed his parents. When Kirk found Jeebus, he suddenly had a problem with the character. He’d say “we can’t have Mike do THIS, we can’t have Mike say THAT to his father, etc.” And the cast and crew naturally resented that. He was hired to play a role, not push religious beliefs. And as Thicke suggests, if you think the saccharine and benign GROWING PAINS sends an “evil” message, you’re in for a huge surprise on other TV and movie sets. Thankfully, I think Kirk is tamer now than when he first got religion, more measured in what he says; I like the gentle touch on Thicke’s shoulder with “No, I so appreciate what you’re saying; I want you to keep talking.”

I'm not a religious person but it's hilarious and at the same time SAD how some people get so offended by it. Take this clown *lurch321*... he's so utterly offended that Kirk would dare share his beliefs with other people and goes on to call him a douchebag when it's clear who the real douchebag is here... lol. The bottom line is religion helps a lot of people live a better life because it gives them certain guidelines on how to get through life and be happy, at least for them. If losers like *lurch321* don't want or need that in their life that's fine & dandy but the truly interesting aspect to this is how most religious people aren't bothered when people like lurch don't believe what they do yet people like lurch come absolutely UNGLUED if you don't believe how THEY do (no God, afterlife, etc). People like *lurch321* are totally incapable of just allowing people to believe in whatever helps THEM have or live a better life and are rather strangely compelled to talk shit about religious people while religious folks are more than happy to simply allow "lurch people" to believe whatever they want and live their lives however they want. So basically you have one group who is content to just let people live and believe whatever helps you have a better life while the other group feels compelled to dictate how and what others should or shouldn't believe in. Really illustrates who is who when you look at it the way things *really* are....

Of course they don't. Even seemingly nice and "good" people have no interest in actual biblical truth because they are blind to it and can't understand it unless the Lord reveals it to them. It's what separates The One True Gospel from defiled and pointless religion. It has to be revealed by Him to the one upon whom He bestows His mercy. However, it also true that if anyone seeks they will find, but you have keep seeking and let Him decide when He is ready to reveal Himself to you. So many "good" people will read this and criticize this because do not even understand that they don't understand.

Cameron's fellow cast members are way too kind. His decision to reject scripts that portrayed Mike Seaver as the character he had already played for 5 years, and that fans loved put the entire show in jeopardy. He selfishly decided that he was too good to play an average teenager, and could only from then on play Kirk Cameron.

No problem man. Don't feel bad, I think that its very easy on youtube to forget that we're no just debating ideas or worldviews but that there are people on the other end...I've done it too. Take Care
