I let my happy lemon balm go to seed in one bed, and the new growth is under and around my cherry tomatoes. It seems to be keeping the usual pests off my tomato plants! Everyone in my garden group complaining about bug monsters but mine are flourishing. How cool!

None of the lemon balm seeds I sowed for this growing season germinated, but the lemon balm I grew in 2022 keeps surviving the Michigan winter and coming back bigger and bigger. I am growing lemon mint this year from seed and it is more like lemon thyme for savory meals. I prefer lemon balm for iced tea.

Beautiful hearts, beautiful farmstead. I will be growing lemon balm for the first time this spring. I started some from seed but I can't find them in the garden anymore. Not sure what happened there, so I'm gonna try again.

Used to use it as a ground cover. Mowing was very lemony.

Definitely hardy in zone 4 but I wish it spread as quickly as my apple mint.

My family was over walking in my garden and everybody loved the mint and lemon balm. Just standing around sniffing with their eyes closed 😂
