Ooohh I am in Albury and my 4 yep 4 white choko plants arrived that I bought off Ebay, it is the dead of winter and I just looked how to plant in a pot even lie the pot sideways for planting that be great then I can organise some trellises to grow them on.I think they will be OK as I had tomatoes right to the end of winter still got a few on the windowsill, they aren't great but so good as can use in salads or sandwiches and my boys just eat them❤ So excited as with food prices and these are so versatile they will be extremely, useful as can use 101 ways and share it all too Definitely will make the stir-fry with egg looks so good ❤

Thanks for the tip. I will add this dish to my uses for Chayote. I usually, like to make a simple pork soup with it, but I'm always trying new ways to use it. BTW my chickens love cooked chayote and so does my dog!

Thank you. I want to try growing this. I've heard many good things about the fruit. And say vine is edible but I've never seen anyone serve it as a dish. Very helpful. Seeing you vines gives me an idea if what to expect. And your timeliness info will keep me from being frustrated. Much appreciated.

You always have great information 🌱 I need to get a choko going. I’ve started a Luffa, but not much has happened… yet!! I know they start off slow, then take over. Xx Cathi xx

Hi just wondering how many seeds you have planted. Yours look so luscious but mine only have a few vine and lots of it had dried up. Can you please guide me. Thank You 😊

Thank you! This vine is only one choko seed, one is enough to take over the entire yard! If yours is drying up then it is a soil problem - indicating either under or overwatering. Try to prepare your soil as diverse as possible with manure, compost and worm castings. Then just water when the top inch of the soil is dry. Choko plants are not too fussy, once established they are quite tough so keep trying 💚

Hi Sunny I don't believe you can buy them from anywhere commercially as they tend to be a backyard variety. I recommend checking with your local gardening community who may have some available 💚
