Growing a Woodland: Tree Nursery

Back at Higher Druid Wood, Pam shows us round the community tree nursery, explaining why growing from local seed is better than shipping from commercial tree nurseries located elsewhere, and the different types of trees that will go on to be planted in the new woodland on her land, and wherever the trees are needed around the nearby town of Ashburton. #outdoors #woodlands #TreeNursery

I love the nursery beds. I have wanted to try a small nursery on our land to add to our existing woods. I think I will give it a try. Thank you for sharing. ☺❤🌲

I've never planted a tree. Perhaps I will one day.

Lovely video, thank you, but was it necessary to rip the unripe acorns still in their cups, from the oak, and scatter them on grass for the benefit of 'finding them' for the camera. I would love to see some educational aspect in a video, which shows how they fall out of their cups, to the ground, once they are ripe and ready for harvesting and later planting. Many thanks
