Doing a similar project but on a much much smaller scale. Recommend you detach the areas which are doing well, take the sprigs from detaching, put them into a bucket of water for 2 days for them to start rooting, and then re sprig that.... Helps Ballance the established Spots with the empty spots...

Jason, the only thing better than watching your 2 acres grow-in is if it was my 2 acres. I got 6k but I have 2k that was bare after removing trees. 1k grew in just from edge growth. Here is a what i'm doing. I spread pinestraw across the bare ground and planted inexpensive annuals. It looks nicer than rain beaten soil, reduces weeds and it softens the soil. I mow past the edge into the pinestraw. The composted mulch does not stop the runners. It decomposes naturally as the lawn takes over. I can tell how far it has gone by how many flowers have been replace by grass!

Dude have you been watching my house for video ideas again? Lol. We just laid a pallet on my water treatment leech field. About 1 acre. Thinking bout throwing down some iron and nitrogen to encourage rooting.

Do you fertilize the bare spots or just where the grass is at? I'm trying to fill in some bare spots as well. Also I mow 2x a week

Hiw will all of this rain effect it? Would you want to add anything to your yard after a flooding rain like we have had?

What's a good high nitrogen slow release fertilizer? I just pur down on Monday, lowes organic brand fertilizer. Thinking I want a higher nitrogen amount. Or should I just put another bag of these brand down. Note the bag coveres 2500sq ft and that is the exact amount of footage I'm working with. Thanks and as always great video

Why don't you have other weeds growing in the bare spots? Did you use a preemergent that minimally inhibits the bermuda spreading?

Is 10-10-10 fertilizer good for lawn

Valentine's Day is the best time to drop the high N... Then 1 pound at Easter... Another for Memorial Day....? July 4 if there's rain or irrigation- a half pound. Labor Day and Thanksgiving another 2 pounds. Regs only drop on activally growing turf- I'd never drop regs on struggling scenes- maybe a fraction of label rate under chemigation- Dig roots before regs or even pre m... On Bermuda you can water with msm all day long! Let's surf Pensacola or Orange Beach!

@@lawncarelife Yes! MSM instead of regs- mix 3x20 in... Regs are only for established turf. Not a grow in scene.... I watched your video of that area- Chemigate with msm and fert- reg next year...

Was that 3lbs/1000 for maximum growth, a per application or per year rate?
