What's up #UrbanGang in this video we compare the Grovemade leather desk pad vs the Grovemade Wool Felt desk pad. We will compare the appearance of these Grovemade desk-pads, which includes colors, size and materials and then we will discuss the usability of each which involves discussing the feel, comfort etc for these desk accessories! Think of this as a review and prize giveaway :)
Finally, we will discuss the price and summarize the pros and cons between the leather and wool felt desk pads from Grovemade

I forgot to fully discuss which one I prefer so here is my verdict...
Which one will I chose? For me, I have found my self using the wool felt one but again, keep in mind I am using this with the keyboard trey and wrist pad as well as with a leader mouse pad. This is not only the LOOK that I prefer but also the ergonomic and comfort setup for me. Ultimately the biggest driving force though for me preferring the wool felt one is the fact that it is a “set it and forget it” type of pad. It makes life easier for me because it literally just lays there, creates some style and contract so my setup and I can rely on it never getting in my way or making things more complicated. Maybe if they make a thicket version of the leader one, similar to how thick the mouse pad is which lays flat, I would change my entire keyboard/ mouse setup. For now, I m all about that wool life

Wow, I must say that I'm shocked at how terrible the leather one looks as far as laying flat. At a premium price, that thing should be absolutely perfectly flat with no kinks or anything of the sort. Thank you so much for doing this comparison… the wool felt pad wins hands-down in my book. Cheers!

Def prefer the wool even the the idea of the leader being more “premium” calls the attention lol wool is more functional

Appreciate that bro. I m going to start making videos again but more like once a month. Hard to do these types weekly w 2 kids and a full time job also but like I said if you cool w it in the future we can start a podcast. Those are less work than these darn tech videos which need to be scripted and edited big time

Wasup chief. I actually had the desk pad sitting infer something that made it sit a lot more flat than it looked in this video. If you have anything like a flat table top or so you can just let it sit on top for days and it will sit a lot more flush. I might need to make an update video for that. @@anthonythen2937 You are right I m sorry. I do use the mouse with a leather pad. I prefer the wool for how it sits but if we are talking about using the mouse directly on the pad, the leather one would be better. I apologize for the confusion. I ll delete that comment

@@UrbanBDKNY Hmm I see, its probably because of the material they use, I haev a wool felt mousepad that costed me about 10 bucks and it quickly accumulated lint in about 2/5 months of use

I love the leather mouse pad. That sits flush for sure. And regarding the leather desk pad, I actually got it to sit a lot more flat than before by just literally letting something bigger sit on top of it for like 2 weeks. Did you follow on IG? Are you Stan_dout?

I sold my home in March and I am currently in a rental property with all my gear in storage. I will be moving to a new house that I purchased in the next few months. It’s pricey but you can only call it overpriced if there is something to compare to They have a nice niche here. Do you have a similar company who sells things like this with real wood and leather for much cheaper?
