Really interesting to hear you mention that user personas for the most part don't add a lot of value. I've felt this myself too, sometimes they seem more like an arbitrary part of some kind of research 101 checklist that has become a "must have" deliverable. Many of them also seem to contain arbitrary information too, like "favourite brands" or "favourite apps". Unless this info is relevant to the project you're working on, it seems like unnecessary info that people add in because they've seen it in other templates online.

Hmm how do you measure the success of the hypotheses if they aren't directly tied to a conversion or an obvious metric? Like 'if we add some content here user will feel better about something'. It becomes about subjective understanding of the user and qualitative? Or here, "if we show explicit availability then theyll be able to decide on which hidden gem to visit". How do you measure this hypothesis exactly?
