Breathslayer with finale aftershock and a cone with finale fury and samurai go brrrr

The weapons/trinkets have not changed (like you said at 8:13) from fresh to sour/salt, they always were sour or salt, the *description* was wrong. So the damage is the same as before. It does suck for those who had not that information and didn't test the actual effect before hand and upgraded their weapons to level 15. I tested a ton of trinkets and infused weapons, had classified them in chests by element, and on 1.4.2, they are all exactly the same... but with the right description.

Another reason why people are upset about it is because the Frosted Flake looks more unique over the Frosted Edge.

@@patrickgrace1330 well technically its not lost since you can get another weapon with same stats later on. They just made the shitty versions be more powerful that the cool looking ones, so basically forcing us to use the reskinned ones instead. Like in NG+2, pepper flake & blazing edge have the exact same stats, but they gave the better combo ability to the blazing edge (which is the recolored version of the acid edge). So now buying the cooler looking pepper flake is useless

I’m only on NG+ 1, but even though I’m a bit sad about the frosted flake nerf, I still like the weapon itself a lot. It makes it way easier to keep swinging for longer. (I am coping hard)

Wait is there still not a salty staff? I get that they're candy staves but that's seriously the only element there's isn't a staff for?

You'll notice there isn't a single new one handed, shield, bow, or staff in NG+. You'd better like two handed, or just start the game over.

Im glad breathslayer got aftershock instead of finale parry because its my favorite weapon on the new ones. But one of the biggest questions i have is why doesnt the tingle tongue do stabbing damage. Its like the perfect candidate for that

I like how they gave themselves the opportunity to make changes to the abilities that these weapons have, but they made the reskinned weapons objectively better than the cooler looking axe weapons by making them utilize finale fury rather than some stamina boost, which is furthermore useless when used in the context of chopper which has a (currently bugged last time i checked) mastery bonus tied around removing the exhaustion cooldown entirely.

Did they add a new building structure? I have not played over a year, but that building his in looks great

Did you make a base out of lab parts?

If change it then change it with something better like finale blast wave or something. Cause final energy surge is useless if u got the max chopper mutation

I have a cone with finale fury, samurai and life steal, makes you way op and near unkillable.

Wow why make the reskins the ones that we have to use🤦‍♂️the new textured ones look sooooo good but now there useless🤦‍♂️not the biggest deal but still kinda baffling

Personally think the unique models should be better than the reskins

The update is stopping me from adding to my tree house base where I was originally building. Anyone else having this issue? It was fine 2 days ago now I can't add going forward or going up.

Simplify the grind to upgrade weapons would be a good idea, since if you go to NG4+ you get weapons with double perks. I don't think any actual weapons match my motherdemon club with implant sour, sour damage best upgraded to 15 in sour. Just 3 shots infused bugs in mild. Got a good trinket with an other best sour damage as well.

I think it would be more interesting if atleast some ng+ weapons had really new attributes - the pepper and frosted flake have stamina surge which is cool but why doesn't the tingle tongue have something like final crit chance up

Can someone explain to me why the Frost axe in NG+3 is supposed to be the goated weapon? Isn't it like the exact same as the sour axe and one of the 2 spicy axes? All 3 have same stats and final fury

I'm still frustrated by the fact that none of the NG+ weapons are two handed. No one handed, shield, ranged or staves. It feels like they offer all these game play styles in the beginning, but only one at the end. A failure of design.

I like that theyre different from eachother but as someone who runs parry master, stamina surge is useless

Im so happy i spent literal days grinding the fresh edge to lvl 13... i work way to much to just grind a bunch of stuff for all these weapons. Update hasnt been out nearly long enough to be nerfing this stuff. Update should of been all buffs the game is plenty challenging i shouldnt have to play mild to do damage

​@The_Apex_Of_Predators I killed 150ish mantis' just to max the frosted flake and now it's useless. On top of that, to even get the garbage looking axe with final fury, I need ng+3 which I've avoided because grinding on lower levels is easier.

So they had time to re-balance the weapons, but not give them a better skin?

forgot ya brains thsi morning aye?? balance changes are like adjusting some numbers, new skins which are relativly easier then all new items still mean concept art made, ingame art, meshing and 3d models, that takes usually 3 different people maybe 2 and more tiem then just changing some digits

😂😂😂 Yesterday I literally spent a good 2-3 hours just gathering ooze to reupgrade the spicy and fresh battle axe back to 13-14. Idk why tf they chose Finale Stamina Surge over Finale Fury

Honestly they should have just swapped Fresh edge and Frosted Flake around-

this got me screaming “WHAAT” every single second because of this. yeah, it makes sense to do that considering it correlates to the sour battleaxe (fuck the acid edge name), but what was the point of making unique ones if you were just later on gonna give them different bonuses instead of when they released? there’s always the two choices obsidian makes, it’s either listen to the player base and add a good update for quality of life, OR make a bad update and just ruin people’s fun, there’s no in between. - edit: I now switched to the battleaxes instead of the flakes, while I’m still not proud of the update I am starting to grow on them a bit which is nice, just wish they had done this in the first place when they made the weapons instead of now.

I think they should’ve just kept what was on the axes before the update, and make it to where if you want the new effect you can recraft it, I wasted 200 crystals on the pepper flake and frosted flake and now with this new update all my time has been wasted :(

I'm still sad there's no stat to turn an xbow into a machine gun.

A better fix would've be to make all future weapons crafted have the new effects instead of changing already crafted weapons.

Right? Where are my upgrades for shields or mutations for shields. It feels like the devs forgot about everything but two handed.

This is terrible. I couldnt care less about grinding a bit, but i was happy that the effects were the same and i could have 2 new cool looking and unique weapons. Now if i want to be effective, i need to use the reskinned ones.... They should have changed the effects on the reskinned ones instead.

Absolutely ruined the beautiful new cosmetically different axes. My whole reason for upgrading the pepper and frosted flakes to 13 was cause they looked cool. Now just gotta go grind more ooze for a freaking color changed axe? Plain dumb.

Apparently it used to benefit from the blade master mastery so we can swing longer. If you updated you no longer benefit from it

Final furry on a sledgehammer weapon nice idea developers unfortunately it was a bad idea giving that to a weapon literally designed to deal ludicrous amounts of damage per hit making it literally next to unhelpful (honestly final aftershock would be better)

just yesterday spent all fusion crsytals on the frosty flake, did use up 400k raw sience, man that feels bad

I'm glad that the frosted flake looked dorky to me, I went through the first ng+ with just the acid edge instead. Yay no wasted fusion crystals!

I mean its not hard to get a weapon to level 9 anymore. supreme quartzite respawns every ng+ and you can just keep getting scarabs from the undershed pipe. At least you didn't use any fusion crystals.

I am NOT liking the buffs to the bugs since the last update. Love the game, but the one shot from elemental damage from bugs is stupid.

I like the trinket buffs but I’m still pretty mad about not being able to warp home with my telepotty and still keep it by relocating. I spent fusion crystals on my pepper flake and frosted flake and now they suck :(

Exactly a survival game like grounded shouldn’t nerf weapons outright because they’re “too strong” it’s f*cking late game like come on no new player is gonna pick up the battle axes as soon as they start playing they care too much about us having fun not to mention there’s hella different builds to try already smh. Due to the way ppl can use their hard earned time to get a weapon/armor set maxed just for them to nerf it because you worked hard for it is sad. This also takes me back to when they nerfed the fire staff another LATE GAME WEAPON
