glad to see new videos! I've been playing whoa difficulty on my own recently after playing the game for the first time last january, and the videos I've been seeing have all been pre-1.3, so it's nice to have some up to date content

The Mant mutation can distract the Widow's attention for some time and you can hit some blows on the Widow or heal yourself. Also, the Sour Battle-axe is really good maxed out, cause it has the stun stat to THE MAX, which means it can stun the Widow multiple times, not to mention the finale fury ability of the weapon, which makes it faster each combo you do, making it, in my opinion, the best weapon in the game! (Excluding the toenail scimitar, of course)

The Stun resistance creatures get still means that it isn't really a metric to consider for weapon usage. I use sour axe simply because it's one of the best sour weapons. But the stun only occurs once or maybe twice per fight for me, and that's on Whoa.

Problem with the mant mutation is there’s no guarantee it will activate during the fight

@@Paraly5eralmost every “boss” fight in the game it procs! I actually on average get 2-3 procs per widow fight, and a lot of the times I’ll get 2 mants at a time. Should really do a vid on the best summon build this patch, it’s actually really good

​@@b1llythak1ddttv27 with fast attacking weapons, I regularly get 2-5 mant summons per boss fight. Sometimes more. It really does help draw some attention, and does a decent bit of damage itself, kinda like it's own DoT. I have one of each kind of widow dagger, and have taken out every boss fairly easily using the correct dagger and mansterious stranger. IBM is the only fight I usually switch from using a dagger on, going with a fresh toenail scimitar instead.

Thanks for the build, I always liked that Termite armor a lot back when the game came out but it was obviously not that great or "needed" for anything really, now added to the Giddy Goop with the V1.3, it might become my permanant armor/trinket for almost everything ! Great find on the combination of both !

When you do use the Sour Battle-Axe, switch the Blade master to Chopper to reduce the defence of the black widow, making it a faster fight overall :)

Thank you. I defeated the black widow already but it was a struggle. This looks like it made it a much easier fight. Hopefully it works just as well in the infected broodmother cause that is nearly impossible for me .

I remember I fought my first Black Widow with full brood mother armor as a sour termite axe. That was a fun challenge.

I tried for 30+ minutes with a termite axe and lvl 9 ladybug. Got her to 1/3 on my best attempt. I tried this guide and only died once fighting all 5 widows. I died while using the sour battle axe. Amazing guide as always.

I got to wendells lab because of this build the giddy goo took forever but definitely worth it 🙏

My son and I have just started a Whoa game as we wanted to up the challenge. Nice to see that armor is a good space for sure.

I was using Thermite chest way before update 1.3 I didnt play for many months. Logged in today to do new stuff after 1.3 and already had themite chest equipped level 9. In combo with Fire ant legs, mother demon helmet its a sick combo and buffs/debuffs you apply.

What mutation do u use?

(Long Comment) I Got the termite armor but not the giddy goo honestly, I tried farming the giddy goo from sticky fingers and RR Mutation Phase 1 with my fist. and I started punch fireflies, but nothing dropped no giddy goo I killed 40-50 of them no trinket so I just gave up and went without it. And fought the black widow in the under shed and killed her in 13-11 tries. the problem is that I couldn't perfect block all her attacks so fast that I got knocked down which led to most of my deaths just from holding my shield on medium difficulty. But it was my first ever time fighting a black widow, but the other problem was the widowling I tried shooting them with a bow but my aim is bad that's the main reason why I don't cheese stuff in this game. But anyways in the fight ridiculously the widowlings just gives me venom out of nowhere. but she takes out the widowlings which helps. but just a reminder IT DOES WORK WITHOUT GIDDY GOO! But it's still really challenging. But when I killed her, I only got nothing but one widow fang😭 So i have to kill more black widows but I have to take out the widowlings but I find that difficult for me. God this is so hard ether way, But this build helped a little bit thanks.! 🙏👍 And i hope thier is a thing for venom resistance or the best mutation for it.

U can also go dissection expert for the loot luck and if u have sticky fingers use that too then u should get the trinket.(sticky fingers needs bomb arrow it's in the tool box upper yard) also make the antidote smoothies and food it doesn't stop it but it does help imp

On medium the black widow really isn't too bad. I have been messing around going for gold cards with waft and moved onto black widow. I usually can get through the fight now with only getting hit once or twice. I use mask of mother deamon and then roly poly legs and breast plate. I personally like the sour battle axe cause you get a quick stun on her. Use it with chopper and you dont even really have to worry about stamina. Since on medium i use the sticky gum and the two mutations for more and better items. I just use a bandage right when I run up to it so if i am good if i only get hit once. Twice or three times and i have to use a smoothie. Sour battle axe just ends the fight early if you are aggressive, which for black widow i think it key focus.

@@Paraly5er yeah. You are playing on woah, which would make any hit super dangerous. Medium and below I feel like with halfway decent gear you would be fine. The speed change of the black widow made it much harder to face I feel like for people like me who have a tendency to miss parries. It took at least 10+ battles before I started to get the speed down. I originally wasn't killing the widowlings, but if you position yourself well enough it is a good idea and makes the battle much more manageable since there is a delay between the black widows combos.

toe nail schimitar's infection doesnt slow down enemies attack speed it decreases there attack damage but i would still say its a worth weapon

Maxed out mutation -SMASHER decreases attack speed of enemies by 30% on every hit for 10 seconds(does not stack ofc)! You can use the hammer to just slow the widow and then use Paraly5ers armor set.

If you manage to debuff the widow with every attack speed decrease: Giddy goop's, Termite chestplate's, infection, smasher's the widow is goong to be 5*slower

You can also use mint mace's debuff or mint staff debuff (with mutation) but it only lasts for 5 seconds

This does work but hammers are really bad weapons, you could switch mid-fight though for sure

You can switch mid fight any weapon of course, but the hammer is so consistnent, because it applies stun every hit, it lasts for 10 seconds and on top of that it slows the enemy by 30 %

I think the best build for black widow is actually unarmed build i beat the black widow easily and the mantis didnt even stand a chance also the broodmother was a absolute pushover honestly felt bad for her and i am extremely arachnophobic so i should have felt nothing thats how good the build is

It isn't anymore. The effects used to stack so it would massively slow down enemies as seen in the video but that got changed in 1.4

Yes although the termite chestplate and giddy goop effects no longer stack so she won't be as slow

It’s a good armor set tbf and the effects are the best part. But eventually you gotta upgrade to tier 3 armor for sure
