@Vodhr

I mean... Yes, because he is a directly designed after the Mad Hatter of Alice in Wonderland. So it is less that DC's Mad Hatter was designed to be crazy, inspired by this fact. And more a case of just straight out "copied" the theme of the Mad Hatters in Alice in Wonderland - which probably was designed with this fact in mind.

8:15 the refuse disposer role sort of lives on as the poo diver. A poo diver is a person who dives in sewage to unclog pipes, machinery or drain the cesspit. A poo diver is a lot more specialized, better equipped, and better paid than that older position, though. There aren't many poo divers because it is pretty rare for people to need that kind of help dealing with a clogged cesspool.

There are still gong farmers, but now they have trucks, pumps and get payed a lot. I know a guy who left corporate job, bought old Vacuum truck and 10 years later he has over 30 trucks working all over the east side of my home country and he makes over a million each year. At first he made 3 times more than his corporate management job for less time and by being his own boss - with one truck and working by himself.

I had an argument with a 24 year old man that told me "the world would be better if everyone could just do the jobs they wanted to do". When i brought up the fact that no one would chose the crappy jobs, like cleaning the sewers, he told me that some people would and that they would do them voluntarily. Ironically when he told me what he would like to do he mentioned something along the lines of being the boss of a business. At that point i just stopped talkig to him.
