honestly I thought seeing the little fella out of context is gonna ruin the magic but nope even outside the environment of the show he still looks so realistic and like an actual living being - the puppet makers are absolutely out of this world

Supposedly it took well over 100k to make. Companies are starting to make fully automated grogu's for the general public. The cheap ones are 100k.. 😵‍💫, There's alot that goes into making them so lifelike.

I saw Mando and Grogu in Batuu in Hollywood Studios at Disney World. The puppet there is also amazingly life like- I was grinning like a fool for about an hour. Totally didn’t hurt the magic at all.

@@Foxy02016 I've never heard of Randy Feltface before. I just checked it out. I didn't know there was a "puppet comedian" outside of regular puppetry like Jeff Dunham. Pretty funny and cool.

And this is what you get when you put together a VERY skilled puppeteer with a VERY expensive puppet. Christ, they couldn't use CGI and still turned that little green bean into a bona fide reality. Incredible.

That undersells him quite a bit, he is the creator of the show. He’s directed huge movies like Elf, and cowboys and aliens. He also directed iron man (and iron man 2) and made the entire MCU possible
