Grocery Shopping in Korea 🇰🇷 (with prices) 🛒 how expensive are korean groceries?
Hi everyone!
In this week's video I'm taking you along to another shopping trip for our groceries. I did a video like this last year and thought it would be interesting to see how prices may have changed within one year of living in Korea.
I wish you all a wonderful week and see you in my next video 😊

I am from India, and after reading this, I am truly grateful for my home country because the vegetables are so reasonably priced that we can eat them three times a day without experiencing any issues. Additionally, vegetable vendors visit our homes to sell their fruits and vegetables.
Wow that's really quite expensive. I live in Italy and fruit and veggies here are incredibly cheaper. Thanks for the video, really interesting!

In Korea they buy two mangoes for what 19000won? In my country, we are tired of eating them for free. Planet Earth is a wonderful place

Thanks for the new video! I’m looking forward to seeing what other content you post! Always good to learn as much as you can!
Fruits and veggies seem quite expensive in Korea. I live in South Africa and the prices are very high for me. A little fun fact: Rooibos tea originates in South Africa

Oh, I didn’t know Rooibos tea originates from South Africa. I love this tea! Thank you for letting me know :)
I have passive german knowledge, active english and recently learning korean beside my mother language so you guys were a good surprise to find with this combo :D I'm not using german daily anymore nor get any content in that language so it was good that I still understood some basic conversation :) I love korean shopping vlogs, it helps me practice reading, I try to read the product's name and store signs.

Wow what a nice surprise 😃 We’re using all 3 languages in our daily life with German being the most between my husband and me. I wish you continued success in learning Korean and that you’ll achieve all your language goals!

Hello from Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪 We're a notoriously expensive spot. Groceries here are probably half the price of yours, if not more! Wow! You have an absolutely enormous amount of snack foods though. Quite jealous. 😊 Thanks for taking the time to film! My husband thinks it's hilarious that I'm watching grocery shopping videos because I HATE weekly grocery trips! 😂

@jennifer_ju And what people buy especially from other countries! It's so inspirational and helps me explore different foods and recipes! We're currently exploring Korean spices and loving it!! Traditional Irish food, while comforting and easy to prep they get very boring. Thanks again!! 😊
Most things are so expensive! Especially the frozen veggies, they're half the price here in belgium

I was also shocked at the prices when I first moved here. But nowadays prices have skyrocketed everywhere around the world.
The prices there are quite comparable to items here in the USA. Some items cheaper than here.

I heard prices in the US have skyrocketed as well, so I‘m not surprised it’s just as expensive over there.

Wow. There's a great deal of meat/produce we can buy cheaper here in America. I didn't know that even with the exchange rate from won to dollar it's still expensive.

I know what you mean. 😞 It reminds me of when there was a beautiful instrumental song that used to play on DirecTV in the early 2000s and my now adult son and I remember the tune of it so very well but have been unable to locate it anywhere. That and an instrumental that would play on the local weather channel in the early 2010s. Beautiful music and memorable songs will ALWAYS stick with you and actually become a part of our memories and a part of our life stories. Thank you for the wonderful reply to my comment. Means a lot. 💖💖
@jennifer_ju

Why are you shopping in a supermarket? They are more expensive. You can go to an open market to get most of your items and then go to a supermarket for other basics.
@jennifer_ju
9 ай бұрын
We don’t want to drive to two separate places for our groceries (there is no open market close to where we live). My husband also has a membership with this supermarket chain which means we get discounts each time. :)
Definitely not as cheap as when I used to live there compared to US prices.
