Props to the dad for thinking quickly and doing what he had to do to save his son, knowing that the bear could turn on him next. True fatherly love right there. I'm glad they both made it out alive.

I'm glad to see the hunter survived the grizzly attack! Nevertheless, allow me to share some hunting wisdom with everyone: Although hunting scents mask your human odor, they provoke big game animal attacks, ... be it deer, elk, moose, bear, etc. Animals smell one thing but see something else which creates an unknown danger and provokes a instinctive defense reaction, fight or flight. This is why some states, like Idaho - which is a grizzly state, have banned the use of scents in elk hunting. Additionally, bow hunters move and hunt like predators which provoke the same type of protective reactions in game animals. Bear Spray combined with a bear caliber handgun are a must even with bowhunters. You are responsible for your own safety!!!!!

Maybe hunting for sport is wrong. Maybe that was one of the lessons they were suppose to Learn and why his hand got bit? But God did answer their prayers and protected them and kept them alive. Which is what they started the prayer with and what “really” mattered. “God disciplines those he loves” Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Discipline and punishment are two separate things. These two must know what’s Gods plan was for this. In the end it’s still a “miracle”.

On my 11th birthday me and my dad went elk hunting in the mountains of Montana. We lived there so I spent a lot of time out in the woods by myself. Me and my dad had a bow because it was opening day of elk for archery. We went to a familiar valley and I started walking down the hill. For some reason I stopped and I turned around and I asked my dad if there are any bears. He shook his head and said there ain’t no damn bears as we had never crossed paths with any bears in the past. I continued walking down the hill and less than 20 seconds later he whistled at me and told me to get down. He pointed about 300 yards in the distance and we saw a large male black bear standing on his hind legs sniffing the air in the direction I was walking. Your dog gone right God was with this man just like he was with me when I was 11 years old and told me to ask my dad If there were any bears. God is the most high! 🙏

Way to go Dad! What a stud, I bet his family is proud! I couldn't imagine what I'd do if I saw one of my kids being attacked by a bear, that's a horrifying thought We have survival classes that are taught in the elementary schools and middle schools in my town; we were always taught that in a bear attack you do want to be face down w/ the bear behind you. Just like every animal, our stomachs are our 'soft spot' you don't want a bear literally gutting you right before your very eyes with one powerful swipe, gotta protect those vital organs. We were told to curl up in a ball and try not to move, arms covering the back of your head & neck. I live on an island in Alaska, that's why they teach this kind of stuff to our kids up here; in elementary school, it's mandatory 2 wk swimming and water survival stuff. It's a pain cuz they get in the water fully clothed so for 2 wks I'm doing laundry daily, but on the bright side my kids can turn their pants into a floatation device should the occasion ever call for it lol we also do 7th-grade camping trips and 8th-grade survival trips.

Cyber = Then the bear would have two packages of fresh meat.... instead of just one ..........! What the dad did was exactly the thing God had him do SO both of them, father and son, survived and lived to give thanks to their God and Savior! If we all knew how many times God saved us from a deadly catastrophe....... and most of us say ~ "wow, that was close! Thank my 'lucky stars'!!!" and ignore their Creator, again. Time to wake up humans. He provided His Word, the Holy Bible to show us His ways, His love, His promises, His will, and His Savior & Salvation, and most just ignore it all! Wow, eternal love, forgiveness & Heaven = just left unclaimed .............. with your name on it!
