I stumbled upon your vids and I must say, you do an amazing job. Bravo! I do have an important question. In December we'll be visiting Switzerland and we'll spend 4 days in Lucerne. The plan is to do day trips to Interlaken, Grindelwald etc. I'm leaning towards renting a car. I feel like train will limit our movements a bit as I love to stop and take pics of scenic landscapes etc. What are your thoughts? I'll also be with my wife and 2 year old son. I also feel like a car might suit him best than the hustle and bustle of hopping trains and buses. Thoughts?

Hi Thanks, going there soon in September. Do you know if you have to do the cliff walk to get to the other side and the viewing platform? Is there a walk way across the top to meet on the other side? Thanks

No you dont have to do it. But the cliff walk is only 2-3 minutes if you walk without stopping. You can access the platform from the other side too

The Cable car ticket, can I use multiple times in a given day? I mean if I get down in between, then climb up and then come down and then climb up?

There are day passes on certain cable cars and i think this one works with a day pass 👌

Do you know what time the cable cars open ? Are they open on Sunday?

Hey Grindelwald First is open year round except a maintenance period at the end of fall I believe. and yes they are open 7 days/week. The cable cars generally open around 8-9ish, but if you check their website you know for sure as it depends on the season.

If you could only do this or the Schynige Platte, which one would you choose?

I would do Schynige Platte but thats my personal preference 😄 but then again it makes sense to buy a multi day pass in the jungfrau region and visit both and more such as männlichen!

Saver day pass by SBB covers Grindelwald and its Gondola/cable cars?

You can only go to Grindelwald station with the saver day pass. Gondolas and cable cars require a special ticket!

Yes you can go from interlaken, you can do this and jungfrau in one day, but its a bit much… but possible 😊 you can enjoy grindelwald also!
