yeah, ratel is great, iI love playing it as well, but have you ever heard of our Lord and Savior Fv510 Warrior?

90mm HEAT slingers around BR 7.0 must be one of my favorite type of vehicles in this game. Especially all the AML-90s. I just started grinding britain to get the South African wheeled tanks for this reason. I just love wheeled tanks.

It doesn’t works like that. Tanks irl wasn’t made for war thunder conditions. Like artillery or bmp, they obviously wasn’t made for tank battles. Because of that some of them being pretty low br like m108 for example

Might be a hot take, but I think you should be able to research foldered vehicles without researching the main one. Or if you unlock the main vehicle the research translates into the foldered one. Maybe more people would play the Ratel 20, an arguably better vehicle than the 90

Hey, now spare a thought for the actual South Africans who apparently ended up having to fight T55's (?) with Ratel 90's at the battle of the Lomba River. Yup, it's a real thing. They had to drive in circles around them. Luckily their opposition (Angolans) seemed to not be up to the task and tended to just jump out of the tanks. They got a few tank kills with the ZT3 (?) missile Ratel as well. Funny story (what I read at least) - the missile the ZT3 was equipped with was still kind of 'in development', and occasionally just dived into the dirt - the South Africans called these dud rounds 'haasnaaiers', meaning 'rabbit f***ers', for their tendency to want to go underground to the target.

Ratel tanks are pretty alright if we done talk about them being huge part

Used to think the south African tech tree would be useless but it is just so much better than half of the other tanks at their tier.

Your tanks are big, so usually your enemy could see you first. Keep your eyes and ears open. Use headsets/ earphones to be able to hear sneaky rats trying to flank you. Don't expect much from teammates.
