    The XP2 is a whole different shoe - lighter weight, more cushioning, much more comfy than regular Dansko clogs. The regular clogs feel like cinderblocks on your feet in comparison to the XP2. I’m a size 7 to 7.5, the 38 always fits fine.

    The actual heel height (forefoot to heel) is 1" and that's uniform between the original series, the XP 2.0, and the newest LT version. Thanks for asking and always feel free to reach out to us at Chia's! Ciao Ciao ~ Tony chips #TeamChia

    Interesting. The soles look solid all the way through, based on how you seem to have cut them right down the middle. Why do yours appear solid, but in several pairs of mine that have fallen apart after a lot of wear, the heels have a hollow area? Basically the bottom of the heel wore thin and then a hole wore through and there is a big gaping hollow area there. I had this happen to maybe 4 pairs of Dansko clogs, all probably produced 2010 or prior. I was very disappointed, as I had they idea they were indestructible, but to be fair I got a lot of wear out of them before that happened.

    Hey hey! Yes the Pros do have a few hollow points in the heel, engineered to loose some weight. Being a cobbler and running a repair and retail shop, re-heeling a Dansko, even when the heel is worn down to the hollow, is a relatively simple job, costing about $25/pair. With that being said, one shouldn't wait for the wear to get to that point! The XP 2.0 has a totally different material composition with a full EVA foam base... lighter weight but will compress quicker. Still repairable but the original is the longer lasting option. I really appreciate ya commenting and always feel free to reach out to us anytime! Ciao Ciao ~ Tony chips Chiappetta

    @@chiappe4 Wow, you are the first person I've ever heard say that a Dansko can be re-soled. I might need to send a few pairs to you! Are you familiar with the problem of the soles suddenly falling apart? Basically disintegrating while in use? I had a pair do this that had seemed fine in the morning, and leaving work in pouring rain, the soles came apart on my short walk to the car, with some huge holes and very wet feet by the time I got there.

    @@whitekarenj OK so! Re-soling is definitely possible but if the sole is "crumbling" then we're out of luck! A basic re-heel or re-sole is an easy project BUT if there is deterioration of the internals then there isn't anything to glue to. This is called "dry rot" and can happen to polyurethanes, common in European footwear. The dry rot process oddly happens when there is a lot of humidity fluctuations and over many years. This is not necessarily due to usage/wear patterns because we've seen shoes straight fall apart and the customer will tell us they haven't been worn in years... it's definitely not uncommon. Anyways, if the Pro's are in decent shape and there's no cracks on the bottom, we would happily resole them!!! Best way to handle it is to shoot us an email with pictures to info@chiappettashoes.com or shoot us a FB message. Once we take a look we can get a quote and take it from there. @@ChiappettaShoeStoreKenosha they call the problem caused by hydrolisis of certain types of PU foam. It's a real shame. This has happened to me twice. The foam soles of clogs just crumble like soft dry rubbery break. Bizarre!

    Sadly the upper is too shallow for my high arched feet. It rubs against the bone on the top of my foot.

  • @ChiappettaShoeStoreKenosha

    @ChiappettaShoeStoreKenosha

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey Katrina! We hear you on that... the Pro clogs have always been a tough foot for the tall, boney, high arches. That top collar is the main piece that holds the clog on the foot while walking and if there's a lot of friction, the upper only has so much give! Quick question for you: What types of shoes work for you? What type of job are you in? Thanks for the comment and we're always happy to help! Ciao Ciao ~ Tony chips Chiappetta #TeamChia

    @@ChiappettaShoeStoreKenosha I'm in nursing. I was wearing Skechers but have now developed plantar fasciitis this past year so I switched to a more stable shoe. The Dansko feels great on that foot but the right foot is slightly taller. I just picked up some Alegria's. I'm not sure how they'll do as I haven't worn them yet but I like that it has that little bit of elastic on the Keli. It gives with my foot. I know they don't have the arch support right off like Dansko though.

    A little late, but try using steam to stretch the upper, leather is usually pretty pliable. It's worked for me with my Danskos, cowboy boots, and combat boots.
