Thank you for shining some light on Grim Fandango. I adore this game and soundtrack so much that it makes me mad how not so many people talk about it nowadays

Wow, Grim Fandango's music live on stage with McConnell himself as a guest. Must have been a treat! I played the game many (Calavera!) years ago and the music always struck as being absolutely brilliant, totally fitting the tone of the game, adding much to the overall ambience, giving a soul of its own to a story with dead people. I played the remastered version a few years back and hearing the music again brought back many (Calav... no, I shouldn't do it again) memories back. A true piece of art! Thanks Austin for giving a heads-up to this amazing composer and his nonetheless amazing music. There's never too much jazz around. Few games use it, Grim Fandango's score is a gem (jazz, tango, such a good vibe), another is L.A. Noire's score (by Andrew and Simon Hale). Beyond that, I don't know much more scores of this kind in the video game industry. But then I don't know everything... if someone has any suggestion, I'm interested!

This was easily the best 'reveal' of the whole concert. I remember sitting there in the audience all-the-while thinking, "what's that guitar doing there...?" Then I found out, and it was awesome! No other words can describe it! Just awesome!

I will never not love anything Peter McConnell composes. That man is such an underrated maestro. So many games for my childhood were done by him ❤ Quick edit: I still listen to Bone Wagon regularly 😊
